More Developers Than Ever Needed
More Developers Than Ever Needed

Crypto is still very much so the wild west and we continue to see the worst but also the best in people with the introduction of it. There are many pluses to crypto but there are of course negatives as well. That makes it no different though compared to FIAT currency so they push for banning crypto and regulating it now is a morphed call to action of short sightedness.
A Short History Lesson
Yes 2017 was loaded with shitcoins and cut and run projects with millions of dollars. Then came DeFi and again shit projects with cut and run and once again with NFTs of shit projects and cut and runs.
But...
You always had the development of Polygon, Hive, Pancake Swap, CubDefi and many other legitimate projects which continue to grow and show the true power. This is why a decentralized system is needed for cases of project development and running of the project. If someone dies, decides to quit in such the recent case of Andre Cronje announced today.
These projects need to be decentralized so if things like this happen they don't take everything with it.
We also see yet another massive call for decentralized social media but there are still far to few such projects which are often pledged with with own growth issues or centralization themselves.
The Future
This goes for a call that we need more developers, investors and people with vision for a truly decentralized system. Sure you can take credit for the creation of it and go down in history that way but you shouldn't have full control over how it works and operates and instead decentralize it away from yourself.
This also marks a question I have since I spend 95% of my time on HIVE and hive based projects now.
What programming language is best to learn to be able to develop applications on top of Hive?
This question is for me in particular but servers two purposes. One I want to learn some of it myself so I have a understanding. But two so I know the right people to look for to invest in and bring in for project building.
A big hats off to those who have developed on top of hive so far.
Projects such as
Play2Earn games
Splinterlands
RisingStar
HashKings
DCity
DCrops
Coming Soon
eXode
Psyberx
MuTerra
DeFi/Swap
BeeSwap
DieselPools
NFTs
NFTShowRoom
NFTMart
Merch and Selling
HiveList
And I just realized this list was getting pretty long and it gave me a idea for a project. A new site that simply shows all applications currently running on Hive. But also coming soon projects. I'm going to start working on that now.
Also a spcial shoutout to LEO team for the launch of yet another successful DeFi platform on the polygon network that gives Hive a little connection to this via it's pLEO swap function.

Another project idea...
In playing dcrops because it is the top waiting game on hive I have left and lost crops due to forgetting time. I thought of a timer bot for dcrops but at the same time it could also be useful for other games that have timers (like the daily quest battles in splinterlands...). Are there other games a timer bot would help with?
Only thing is I know nothing about programming.
the only other timer based game I know of right now would be Rising Star

The great thing about Hive is you can pretty much use any language at this point.
Remember some of the biggest startups since the dotcom boom, especially those since ~2014, have been built with all kinds of crap initially, and then once funding has come in they are refactored.
Facebook is built with PHP (as is WordPress, 45% of the commercial web and over 62% of the inc 5000), Twitter and many others were built with Rails. Most AI is built with Python, as well as statistical modeling more popularized in R.
Front-end stuff is almost always JavaScript but since webassembly, it can't even be assumed that it was coded in JS ;)
Front-end (FED) is pretty much JS. Webassembly is great but the lack of good tooling and adoption I think are the real problem. Nowadays a good front-end can be refurbished into a Fullstack JS: FED side with HTML/CSS/JS, and (Backend) BED side with NodeJS.
