It seems like all the rage this year was AI and in particular Chat GPT. Now for myself the only thing that amazes me about Chat GPT is the speed in which it's able to pull content. It's like a search engine but next level really. Outside of that I wouldn't consider it smart, self aware or anything close to that. It honestly just extracts information that people already wrote at a very fast speed and then recycles it.

It reminds me of the days of when article marketing was a huge thing until Google gave it the big slap. It was mainly because people would take already written articles by others and then "spin" the content to try and make it sound unique. I mean really it was the early chat GPT lol

Well even though that's my look on it others still think it's the next big thing. Don't get me wrong it's cool and it's been helpful to me for things like coming up with topics to write about, titles, subject lines etc To me that's where the real power of the platform is in that it can spark creative thoughts to work off of.

Well now the so called "GPT-4 killer" is out and it's called Gemini.

I'll admit that it seems pretty cool and one of the best things that I feel I would use it for is for learning. To be able to ask questions and do things allowing for the AI to provide details and direction is a ever flowing AI/Search function that very well might be the future.

Instead of reading through long boring books it's almost like you have a teacher there with you teaching you how to build, create, code, learn languages and more. This to be is powerful since it's allowing information such as this to be in the hands of anyone. This is where I often go back to a numbers of years ago when I first said. "My first greatest investment was in myself, My second was in others" Work on yourself first and be the best you can be and it will allow you to be able to help others without taking from yourself. It's a thought process that changed my entire outlook on life and much it much more fulfilling.

What makes Gemini a step ahead is that it uses what is known as multimodal instead of progressing them. For example Chat GPT uses text inputs and can generated limit images and other formats. However Gemini integrates all of these on the fly allowing for a more robust system AI that has more inputs and outputs to get to the desired information faster and in greater detail.

The biggest move in this as well is the integration of it directly into Googles latest smart phones. With Pixel 8 this AI will be auto integrated directly into the phone.

It's also slated to be released in early to mid 2024 on things like search, ads and chrome. This AI tech is being used in a way to further improve and make their products unique compared to the competition and is a very smart marketing and strategy by the company to get people hooked on using their AI before others. This will increase demand of their products across the board.
