Are Data Bandwidth Share Programs Worth It?

There's been a growing trend lately I've seen with data and bandwidth sharing systems. The main one I saw that caught main attention is Grass.io Simply run this program in the background and your unused bandwidth can be used by others or that's the entire idea behind it all.
However there's actully a bunch of these and today I want to take a look into each of them after running them for a few days and seeing what they offer, what ones might be the best and how much income you can actully earn from them. The bottom line question are they worth it?
Grass.io

This is the first one that comes to mind for many. Simply download the chrome plugin and let it run it's that easy. Once connected you'll start earning yourself points.
After what feels like forever this program still offers no crypto tokens and is still in "beta". I started using it back in Jan 05 of this year and we are now on Epoch 5. This is one of those programs where you do it because you don't expect anything but the payoff could be huge or really disappointing when and if it ever launches so it's a big gamble for sure.
ByteLixir

Out of all of the platforms this one has provided the most in terms of activity and payout. That payout however has only resulted in roughly $0.15 worth per day. If you had this on a number of machines though it could start to add up. Payouts are done in crypto as well which is pretty cool.
You'll end up installing a small program that will constantly run in your task bar that will track usage and payout.
PacketStream.io

Packetstream is a newer one I've only been running for a little. The setup took a bit longer as the code I had to register the device wasn't working. It actully required me to reach out to support in order to get it working via a new code. However I can't speak for that always being the case for others.
That aside however the programs actully been pretty active and earnings have been decent just falling short of Bytelixier above.
EarnApp

This one actully surprised me a bit. I wasn't expecting much from it being that the others have been so low in earnings. But so far this actully might have the fastest earning of them all at roughly $0.20 - $0.30 per day. The reason why I don't know for sure is this one has only been running for four days and has earned a little over $1 so far.
This one however does not pay out in crypto and instead has three options. Paypal (Which I hate and will always hate with my last breath), Amazon gift cards or Wise(which I think is a bank transfer)
RePocket

This one might be the worst earnings wise out of all of them earning about roughly 3 tenths of a cent per day. At this rate I'll never reach payout lol.
So are these programs worth it? From what I've been able to tell so far they are not. You'd be better off just turning off your computer because you won't be covering the power bill lol.
Now what I will say one or two of these might be worth running in the background while you're on your computer doing other things. There's really no resource load on your system and I've had no issues with slow downs etc. I also stayed away from ones that wrote any data to your hard drive which some do offer but I don't like those systems because they really wear on your SSD drives.
That being said you also have to consider that any one of these could be big if they really took off. If people actully started to use them more then you could start earning much more. Right now I just think the need for it seems to be low or just not popular at the moment which is causing lower type earnings.
There's also the concern that you're allowing a unknown person or persons to use your service to do whatever they want which will be attached to your IP address. For what you get paid that alone kind of scares me off.
All in all you'll make a few bucks a month but nothing to write home about. Have you tried using any of these yourself and what have your results been like? Let me know in the comments.

Wow good friend these programs sound very very interesting to me, but the low earnings and security concerns is making me rethink it. It's very tempting too 😍😂

Thanks for the information. With such low payouts and tricky usages, I think I'll keep my unused bandwidth to myself.

Have you looked at theta?
They are supposed to have patents on the tech.
I have but never had much luck earning anything with their desktop app
You are not the only one, gpool.io stopped staking tfuel to elite nodes because they couldn't make any money at it, either.
There are others still doing it.
I'm staked and getting rewards.
They have a new cloud storage feature coming out on the 26th.
I think you need between 500k and 1million tfuel to use it.
