Splinterlands - Conclave Arcana (Let's Explore New Abilities)

Hola, gamers... Long time no play. So for some time now I have been seeing the campaign for the launch of Concave Arcana, and I have just been doing a lot of reading to familiarize myself with it so that my comeback to Splinterlands can be epic.

Although I didn't take part in the presale because I lack the financial muscle to swim with the big fishes. Nonetheless, I am super excited about the launch and all the exciting adventures it offers.

Imagine being away from the game for so long only to come back to a new and improved gameplay... Heaven!

I don't even know where to start with my excitement, as I am all too overwhelmed with all the improvements in the likes of abilities and even new cards. Summoners now have an even fancier name called ARCHON, and we even have some new additions to the game.

In all the hype and frenzy of Conclave Arcana, two things caught my attention that I really can't wait to try out after the launch.

They are the introduction of new abilities and the bloodline strategies. Both improvements are what we are going to be discussing in this blog post, starting with the breakdown of the new abilities.

ABILITIES

The launch of Conclave Arcana introduces us to eleven abilities, all brand new, that I'm all too excited to try out. So far, from all that I have read, these abilities are the game changer. It offers us not only strategic tools but also bold steps that expose us to an entirely new gameplay experience. Whatever category you fall into as a gamer, the new abilities in Conclave Arcana will blow your mind away. Best believe your thought process of each game play will never remain the same, and this is all too exciting for me coming back to a whole new different experience.

With all said and done, let's familiarize ourselves with the abilities and the ones that stood out for me.

Painforge: Monster cards with this ability get an additional +1 power whenever they are damaged either with poison, burnt with fire, or attacked by an ally. The moment I read about this ability, my fingers started itching to try it out because how cool is it to be compensated for a loss of life? Pretty neat, right? Yeah, I know, lol. Let's go over to the next ability.

Reckless: For this ability, any attack that is successfully launched will equally deal 1 damage to allied units lying adjacent. I think this attack is similar to the melee attack of the legion pack. It's an ability that every Splinter is already familiar with whereby damage attacks are dealt to monsters in the front line.

Bloodline Tribute: I really do love this ability so much because nothing is lost upon defeat of monster cards possessing this ability. The trick is when such monsters are defeated, every allied unit possessing the same bloodline gains +1 of health, speed, and armor. Not just that, but it also gives +1 power to individually shared attack types.

Resurgence: Upon death, units with this ability resurrect once per battle with health and armor at 100%. In addition, after resurrection, it does not only remove all magic debuffs, but it also reapplies all magic buffs. Although it skips its turn after it resurrects, it deals one physical damage to both allied and enemy units upon resurrection.

Shapeshift: Like the name implies, it could metamorphose into anything of choice. For monster cards with this ability, there is no limit to the monster type they can interact with or affect. They can influence all monsters of any bloodline. Multipurpose abilities like this I love and can't wait to try out.

Final Rest: This ability is a double-edged sword, such that any monster card possessing this ability neutralizes both allied and enemy abilities that trigger on defeat. I am a bit indifferent about this ability, but we'll see how it goes.

Reveal: While camouflaged enemies are usually protected, monster cards with the reveal ability upon each round expose camouflaged enemies and make them vulnerable to direct attacks.

Relentless Strike: The effectiveness of this ability is unique against units with defensive abilities such as Void, Shield, or Forcefield. Not only does it intensify damages, it goes forth to ignore the protection of the defensive ability. This ability is cool when I'm the one using it against my opponent, lol.

Bloodline Dominion: Summoners or Archons with this ability can summon all units sharing the same bloodline regardless of the elements. Like I said earlier, I am ecstatic about abilities without limitations, and I can't wait to try this out as my Summoner.

Empower: When hidden, this ability gives itself and other units next to it +1 power. That is, it makes them as well as itself stronger.

Last Word: This ability suppresses the final rest unit and is highly beneficial against opponents with the final rest ability such that it counters its effect. Final word?? Love it!

And that's it for my excitement with the new Conclave Arcana Launch. I can't wait to get on the game and apply some of these abilities to my strategy and kick some butt lol 😂.
