NFTs are evil!
Bitcoin is evil!
Blockchain technology is evil!
Michael Saylor's evil!
You mom's evil!

It's all getting kind of tiring, isn't it? I go on Twitter and see gamers complaining about NFTs in video games. I mean, if it's like any other micro-transaction, then yeah it's a bother, but it's also genius to create unique skins, armour, weapons, customisations, etc. I go on Facebook and people are complaining about Blockchain technology. Like, have the read the white papers? Okay, I gave up on reading the white papers.😂 And I'm not sure NFTs are for me, but they are not changing my life in any bit whatsoever. I'm like, own them or not, it's up to you. I'm more into hodling. And things like staking for passive income, like with Theta or NEO (formally Antshares).

People are literally getting disappointed is others who are looking into NFTs, or considering getting into Bitcoin. Oof, and here I am holding coins, owning a Ledger wallet and posting on a blog site where my income is literally cryptocurrency.

Now what is actually disappointing is to see so many refuse to accept that others are into it. I mean, if it's not for you, great, but when folks are so adamant that you're in the wrong for owning a coin or considering creating for the blockchain. And some, who don't know much or anything about blockchain technology, will even accuse those who are into it of not understanding anything about it.

Ugh. Don't mind me, just ranting here. I enjoy talking with folks on social media, but it's disheartening to see them so vehemently hating on blockchain and people who are into it. I spent all of yesterday, not on ANY social media. It was the "non-day", no video games, no social media. And I was writing all day, so I didn't even go on my computer. (My thumb is sore today lol.) So now it feels like I'm waking into a strange world where people hate NFTs, only after a day without social media. I should probably take more days off social media for my sanity.

The image used in this rant is a preview of an NFT from the following link, should you be interested in it: https://app.airnfts.com/nft/Michael_Saylor_1629912973314

This is not an endorsement of the creator nor a sponsorship, nor am I affiliated with this person, I just liked the image of Michael Saylor. Plus it fits the context

Also, if you got this far, thank you for reading, and as you guessed after reading the first few lines, I'm all for Blockchain and all that fun stuff. You do you and enjoy your NFTs. Twitter won't destroy 'em, they're non-fungible HAHA. Whatevs, don't ask.

People hate NFTs and blockchain tech? Sounds like they hate us 'cause they ain't us. 😎

I understand the hate, because it doesn't make sense, the entire reason collectibles are valuable was that they never started as collectibles and people destroyed the supply, and now that it's rare it has value. The whole point is it takes effort and work to maintain the item over time and therefore you've given up resources to do so, unlike an NFT you can easily reproduce, and re-mint thousands of times over. If a time stamp on a chain you cannot verify yourself is all that's meant to secure it it hardly seems valuable but this frenzy will fade with time

As for games, I get the concept but I also don't get it, why would gaming studios make compatible NFTs, their whole business model revolves around keeping you in their ecosystem. Is one publisher really going to let people buy 1 thing from another publisher and use it in their game? I doubt it

I personally don't care what people do with their money, but im also tired of the twitter arguments. Let people blow up their bank accounts, its' not your problem

It could be just another way to monetise in-game indeed, but it could work only if a unique item (skin, weapon, armour) cannot be reproduced and if only one player got that item. There could be several, but it would have to truly be unique, one and only, for it to fit with the NFT brand. Otherwise, if it can be reproduced or if there are several of that kind, it's not different than bonus content or rare items that anyone can have.
