Mining his way to Victory: The Ant Miner
Abilities
The Ant Miner starts off with one ability, and it is a powerful one; “Scavenger”. This ability allows Ant Miner to gain health each time a creature dies, in no time this 2 cost can become a secondary tank.
At level 6 the Ant Miner gets the “Shield” Ability. This ability exponentially amplifies his tank abilities. Not to mention he picks up armor along the way to take an additional melee or range hit for free.
Where to Use
The Ant Miner can be used in many different circumstances in a good array of rulesets.
- Noxious Fumes
- Equalizer
- Melee Mayhem
- Super Sneak
- Little League
- Earthquake (If level 6 or above)
Even at his lowest level the Ant Miner is a steal for the mana cost. His mana cost allows him to frequently be snuck in your composition. I tend to put him behind the front tank and in front of my offensive glass cannons like Serpentine Spy. If he dies, hes a hero that saved a valuable card or he lives and begins stacking health.
When used with Malric the Ant Miner’s 2 attack for 2 mana is quite useful and is where it truly shines.
Wrapping Up
My appreciation of the Ant Miner has grown like a fine wine. I believe his worth will continue to increase for my team well into Chaos Legion.
