Soulstice | Briar vs Donovan [No Commentary Gameplay]

Hello there, gamers of the blockchain!

We pick up our fight where we left it. As you can recall, we had a memory of how Donovan was part of Briar's origin as a Chimera. He almost ended our lives even before the game started. It didn't happen. Now, Briar is pissed and wants answers or, at least, payback. So, we are squaring off against The Shadeless.

It is not a particularly difficult battle. However, Donovan fights better than most enemies we have faced till now. We need to avoid his combos. Once he starts using his own hammer, we have to keep an eye for this leap attacks and place ourselves in the best place for an effective counter. Lute's parries are only to delay his attacks. We don't have yet the power to stop such powerful strikes.

The fight ends once Donovan can't hold up any longer. We have some bits of conversation about how we're getting stronger. Also, we know that Briar is a special Chimera as she was corrupted before conversion. So her abilities are derived from that fact.

After, facing Donovan, we'll get into more puzzles and elevators. We need to remove red crystals to keep moving forward and going up. As we can see up in the sky, the Tear is still far off from our location. However, we'll find an important bit of information during our travel. We finally caught up with the memory of the other Chimeras that were sent to investigate. And we know they were hunting something else. Who knows what, but it seemed to be important.

More heavy enemies get in our path, and we end our works of this entry by facing a Preacher. This is one of the strongest wraiths in the game. It can summon many types of enemies. That's why it is also one of the most annoying enemies as well. We need to face it off while protecting ourselves from its summons. But as it throws more enemies at us, it gives us the chance of going into Rapture mode and having more power to attack everything at once.
