Soulstice | The Angry Kool-Aid Man [No Commentary Gameplay]
Moving forward in our quest, it seems the Tear is always out of reach. And as we keep progressing there are more enemies and stronger ones as well. Take for example this new one known as a Mauler. It comes out breaking a well. Yeah, a Kool-aid Man reference. This is one angry monster with some area of effect attacks and also reaction to our own onslaughts. If we attack it too much, it gets enraged and throws and AoE.
The worst part aren't the looks! Yes, shocking! It is that once we defeat the body, we need to also defeat three wraiths that are inhabiting it. And then we finally destroy the enemy. You know what it means. This new enemy is going as part of the roster of foes we we'll encounter regularly.
Speaking of which, Layton finds us and has a new present for us, The Merciful Blades. This punching weapon is the fastest in the game. It is a great thing to create intricate combos and overpower some enemies. It is also specially effective against wraiths since it keeps is a floating state while we perform our attacks. Now, we just need enough material to unlock all its combos and have unlimited potential. However, it has a really weak damage output. But it compensates it with speed.
Towards the end of this journey, we find ourselves fighting two Preachers and another Mauler. And it is a long fight since Preachers can shield themselves
