The Evil Within 2 | Through the Fire and Flames [No Commentary Gameplay]

Hello there, gamers of the blockchain!

We're packed up and ready to enter Theodore's fortress alongside Hoffman. This part of the game is an escort mission. We have to protect Yukiko since she's holding a portable Stable Field Emitter to cross through the flames. She walks clearing the path. We keep her safe from the monsters.

Of course, since the device is a prototype, it won't hold all the time. She'll have to stop and calibrate the machine twice. That's when we'll need more of our aim to keep her and ourselves save.

Getting towards the tower, there will be another malfunction and this time there will be no other choice but running from the monsters. However, in true horror film fashion, Yukiko is caught and we can't help her. Her last words are encouragement to put and end to this madness!

No members of the rescue team remain.

This last part is a tower in which we need to ascend to get to Theodore. The whole theme of torture and fire is present in every nook and cranny of the place. There's a lot of fire enemies around, plus the regular ones. Added to this, some puzzles of moving levers to open routes and get to the place we need to be.

We'll recognize we are progressing as Theodore keeps sending some messages to our mind trying to turn us to his side. However, he'll find out this isn't happening and will try to use the same old trick with us. This time, sending a clone of our daughter does nothing as we have outgrown our guilt for her lost.

But he will pull another card up his sleeve. This time we'll have a gauntlet of some enemies from our previous nightmare at Beacon Mental Hospital: the first chainsaw enemy just outside the elevator, The Keeper, and Rudvik' sister. We have to face these fears to overcome Theodore.

It's actually a really cool boss fight!

Unfortunately, the killing blow to Theodore will be delivered by our wife, Myra. She will end this smooth talker and also make everything else crumble with her powers. She keeps repeating she needs to keep Lily safe, but she's actually bringing the end of this world.

We come out of the tower to find ourselves in an apocalyptic version of Union and having to search for Myra. Once we get to her, she'll try to end us. However, something pulls her back from her trance. This is wrong and we have to find out what's happening.

And this time, it will be the conclusion of this journey!
