School vacation has already started, so I have more time to dedicate to sewing projects, since I can get up a little late because my son is at home and does not require the preparation of food in the early hours of the morning, it is a perfect time that I can take advantage of for sewing projects, in addition to the backpack and other things that my son will use for school, I also want to sew several tops which are very comfortable, fresh, and also easy to make, this time I share with you the making of a sports crop top inspired by the Splinterlands character Sergeant Grauzral, for its elaboration I used the embonado technique, it is a technique that I like a lot because the seams are hidden and the result is neater by not having visible seams, the top combines the colors wine and black taking as a reference those worn by the character in his outfit, I invite you to join me in the elaboration process.
Hola, hola amigos artesanos y comunidad @hivediy, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan un excelente día, estamos a pocas horas de finalizar el mes de julio, un mes muy ocupado en cuanto a las actividades escolares y graduaciones, para dar paso al octavo mes del año, es mi deseo que este venga cargado de grandes bendiciones para cada hogar; amor salud, prosperidad y más.
Ya iniciaron las vacaciones escolares, así que tengo más tiempo para dedicarme a los proyectos de costura, ya que me puedo levantar un poco tarde porque mi hijo está en casa y no requiere la preparación de los alimentos a temprana horas de la mañana, es un tiempo perfecto que puedo aprovechar para los proyectos de costura, además del morral y otras cosas que usará mi hijo para el colegio, también quiero coser varios top los cuales son muy cómodos, frescos, y también sencillos de hacer, en esta ocasión les comparto la elaboración de un crop top deportivo inspirado en el personaje de Splinterlands Sargento Grauzral, para su elaboración utilice la técnica de del embonado, es una técnica que me gusta mucho porque las costuras quedan ocultas y el resultado es más prolijo al no tener costuras visibles, el top combina los colores vino y negro tomando como referencia los que lleva el personaje en su atuendo, les invito me acompañen en el proceso de elaboración.

El primer paso para la elaboración del crop top, fue cortar las piezas, como voy a usar la técnica del embonado se cortan dos piezas del delantero y dos piezas del posterior, el delantero lo corté en color vino y el otro en color negro, aunque esta técnica requiere un poco más de tela, el resultado es muy hermoso, también corté un retángulo con el cual haré las tiras.
On the black rectangle I marked a five (5) centimeter strip, when I folded it in half I was left with 2.5 centimeters, I fixed it with pins and sewed with a straight stitch, I removed the excess fabric and with the help of a pin I turned the fabric right side out, cut it in half and obtained two thirty (30) centimeter strips, which will join the front with the back of the crop top.
En el rectángulo de color negro marqué una franja de cinco (5) centímetros al doblarla por la mitad me queda me queda de 2.5 centímetros, fijé con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta, retiré el exceso de tela y con ayuda de un alfiler volteé la tela por el derecho, corté por la mitad y obtuve dos cintas de treinta (30) centímetros, que unirán el delantero con el posterior del crop top.
The third step was to face the front pieces right sides together and place the strips on top, I held them with a pin for more comfort when sewing, then I placed the other front part and placed it again, I did the same process with the back pieces, I faced them right sides together and held them with pins, I sewed the armholes and neck with a straight stitch, in the case of the front piece I sewed the armhole, neck and shoulders, leaving the sides and hem open.
El tercer paso fue enfrentar derecho con derecho las piezas delanteras y colocar las tiras en la parte superior, las sujeté con un alfiler para más comodidad al momento de coser, luego coloqué la otra parte delantera y coloqué nuevamente, el mismo proceso lo realicé con las piezas del posterior, las enfrenté por el derecho y sujeté con alfileres, cosí con puntada recta las sisas y cuello, en el caso de la pieza delantera cosí sisa, cuello y hombros, dejando abiertos los costados y bajo.
To join the front and back pieces, I placed right sides together and through the opening left in the back piece, I placed the strips, secured them with pins, and double-stitched them with a straight stitch. This helps secure the previous piece and gives it more strength.
Para unir la pieza delantera y posterior enfrenté derecho con derecho y por la abertura que quedó en la pieza trasera coloqué las tiras, fijé con alfileres y pasé doble costura con puntada recta, esta permite asegurar la anterior y darle más fuerza.
Then I turned the piece right side out and faced the sides, matching the armhole seams. I pinned them and sewed with a straight stitch.

Once the sides were closed, I turned the piece right side out again and measured the elastic, measuring eighty centimeters. Then, I joined the ends and divided it into four sections. I pinned it to the bottom and sewed it with a zigzag stitch, stretching one (1) centimeter every four (4) centimeters.
Finally, using elastic thread, I sewed the center front to shape the cup. With these simple steps, a beautiful and comfortable sports crop top inspired by the Splinterlands characters is complete.
Cerrados los costados, voltée la pieza nuevamente por el derecho y medí el elástico, ochenta centimetros luego lo uní en los extremos y dividí en cuatro partes, lo fijé al bajo con alfileres y cosí con puntada de zigzag, estirando un (1) centímetro cada cuatro (4) centímetros.
Finalmente con hilo elástico cosí la parte central frontal, para dar forma a la copa, con estos sencillos pasos está terminado un hermoso y cómodo crop top deportivo inspirado en los personajes de Splinterlands.
