Greetings friends lovers of threads and needles I hope you have a great week together with your loved ones, I am happy to share a new sewing project this time inspired by the characters of Splinterlands, this is a cotillion bag ideal for giving gifts and treats to children on birthdays, can also be used to carry snacks, The design combines the colors yellow and purple taken as a reference of the character Khazi Fire Mage, the lining is turquoise and the bag can be used on both sides purple and yellow on the front or on the back with two shades of purple, just like the character wears on her blouse and belt, I invite you to join me in the process of elaboration.
Saludos amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas espero que tengan una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir un nuevo proyecto de costura esta vez inspirado en los personajes de Splinterlands, se trata de un bolso de cotillón ideal para dar los obsequios y golosinas a los niños en los cumpleaños, también se puede usar para llevar la merienda, lápices y pequeños cuadernos a la escuela o tarea dirigida, su elaboración combina los colores amarillo y morado tomados como referencia del personaje Khazi Fire Mage, el forro es de color turquesa y el bolso se puede usar por ambas caras morado y amarillo en la parte delantera o en la cara posterior con dos tonos de color morado, tal como los lleva el personaje en su blusa y cinturón, les invito y me acompañen en el proceso de elaboración.

The first step to make this beautiful bag was to join the pieces of fabric, I faced the right sides, pinned the yellow and purple piece, sewed with straight stitch, in the same way I did with the two pieces of purple fabric, to reinforce the seam I used a French seam, which is a double seam that is on the reverse side.
El primer paso para realizar este hermoso bolso fue unir los retazos de tela, enfrenté los derechos, sujeté con alfileres la pieza de color amarillo y morado, cosí con puntada recta, de igual forma hice con las dos piezas de tela morada, para reforzar la costura utilicé costura francesa, que es una costura doble que queda por el lado revés.
I measured the front and back rectangles (30 by 45 centimeters), then I cut the fabric for the turquoise lining, pinned the main fabric and lining, sewed all around and left an opening of 10 centimeters to flip over.
Unidas las piezas medí los rectángulos delantero y posterior (30 por 45 centímetrops), luego corté la tela para el forro en color turquesa, sujeté con alfileres la tela principal y forro, cosí por todo el contorno y dejé una abertura de 10 centímetros para voltear.
Once the piece was flipped over, I made a fold at each end of approximately 5 cm and divided it into two parts; 3.5 cm for the cord channel and 1.5 centimeters for a tab at the top.
Volteada la pieza hice un doblez en cada uno de los extremos de aproximadamente 5 cm este lo dividí en dos partes; 3.5 cm para el canal cordón y 1.5 centiemtros para que le quede una pestaña en la parte superior.
Then I folded the bag in half facing right side to right side, I sewed from the bottom seam to the bottom and added the two strips, which will serve to place the cords, these strips I sewed when I joined the main pieces, with the help of a hook I passed the cord through the channel and made a knot in the side strips, to secure it I sealed with a lighter the ends of the cord, so is finished a nice cotillion bag inspired by the characters of Splinterlands.
Luego doblé el bolso por la mitad enfrentando derecho con derecho, cosí desde la costura inferior hasta abajo y agregué las dos tiras, que servirán para colocar los cordones, estas tiras las cosí cuando uní las piezas principales, con ayuda de un gancho pasé el cordón por el canal e hice un nudo en las tiras laterales, para asegurarlo sellé con un encendedor las puntas del cordón, así está terminado un lindo bolso de cotillón inspirado en los personajes de Splinterlands.
