Quiet Sunday with quiet thoughts
It's been a quiet Sunday that started with a couple of rounds of Call of duty and then watching a football highlight show. Last night was kind of fun as we went out for a couple of drinks and also ate dinner.
Today, we also made plans to eat dinner at a nice restaurant in town and I'm looking forward to that. It is quite refreshing to unplug from work and all the other stuff stressing me.
The past couple of days has been difficult for me as I battled with the thought of selling my assets. I've had to liquidate a bit more than I wanted to due toa change in our situation.
I was getting too stressed out by the situation and struggled with a bout of depressive thoughts. However, after a short conversation with my wife, I saw things differently and I feel much better.
Not a do or die affair
We're working our way out of Nigeria and will do the utmost but at the same time, I will not do things at our own long-term peril.
So, with the above thought process, we're continuing our push towards relocation but taking a small step back by allowing things to move organically, instead of forcing the issue.
We would ideally like to leave before January but if it doesn't work out, there's really not much we can do.
Other than the Forex issue that I mentioned in a previous publication, we also have to deal with some clerical issues, if you may.
For example, at the time of writing, my international passport is almost expired and as anyone in Nigeria knows, renewing a passport here is anything but straightforward.
The issue is that, first of all, I can't apply for renewal until the passport has 6 months of validity. Ironically, it's also not advisable to apply for a VISA with a passport that has less than 6 months of validity.
So the passport issue puts me between a rock and a hard place. An acquaintance that works for the immigration service suggested taking a "special" circumstance approach to renewing my passport but I'd prefer to avoid anything that could be perceived as "sneaky".
So, what we're hoping for now is that fate works in our favour and timeline. However, if it doesn't, we'll just take it as God's time, as my wife often says.
For me, the real victory is that I won't have to be selling more assets. In fact, from all indications, I might even be buying back some of the assets I sold.
I'm looking at my Splinterlands assets in particular, and I think buying back some summoners I sold might do me a world of good.
What I haven't decided on is when I should actually cancel the rentals. I get the feeling that I could actually cover the rental fees if I just continue brawling with my monsters.

Guy! My passport expires by February next year, I went to renew it about 2 weeks ago, now I have to wait till like December to do capturing after which I’ll now wait again for only God knows how long before it finally gets ready. I’m renewing forgosake not even applying for new.
The annoying thing is that there’s no portal to even ask these questions. Very frustrating.

You people should not run and leave Nigeria for only me o😂. My husband got his passport renewed just last month. After waiting for 7 good months. It baffles me how you can get it immediately when you opt for express but cannot get it at least 1-3 weeks when you opt for normal process.
We are also working on relocating too. Japa is a must ooo😂.

Keep accumulating! Might think it over, as life in the Western World is also tough, and opportunities arise in developing countries. Nigeria, with the population boom in the next years, will have a lot of needs that need to be covered. Enjoy the remaining Sunday! !BEER for you
