How to participate in LPUD: Hive, Binance and Polygon

LPUD stands for Leo Power Up Day and it is a new movement. Just like HPUD where the first day of every month is set out for powering up Hive, LPUD is hosted on the 15th of every month and it is set out for powering up Leo.

Powering up or simply staking Leo is good for the health of the project. That is why everyone is encouraged to participate in this movement.

Today there will be hundreds, nay, thousands of members of the Leo community staking Leo to all their accounts. To participate, all you have to do is stake at least 200 Leo.

At the time of writing, there are multiple ways you can get your hands on Leo.Whether it is native Leo on hive or wrapped versions outside, you can get it, move it to your Hive account and then stake it to participate.

Where to Buy leo

As mentioned earlier, there are multiple ways to get Leo to participate in LPUD. It all depends on where your funds are, at the moment.

On Hive

For me, the easiest is to simply buy Leo directly from Tribaldex. If you want to buy Leo from Tribal dex, you simply;

• Convert hive to Swap.hive by depositing it with either hive-engine, Leodex or directly on Tribaldex
• Go to pools and select the required pair(swap.hive/Leo)
• Convert your Hive to Leo
• Login to your Leofinance account or simply go to Leodex
• On Leofinance, simply go to your wallet and power up. On Leodex, click the padlock icon close to Leo tokens and stake it.

Alternatively, you might want to do it through the wrapped versions of Leo. Right now, there are three wrapped versions of Leo; Wleo, Bleo and Pleo.

Wleo is on Ethereum, Bleo is on Binance and Pleo is on Polygon Network. I highly recommend you either use the Binance Smart chain or Polygon Network versions due to gas fees.

On Polygon

Out of the lot, Polygon Leo offers the cheapest route but it is possible that you might not have assets in that network but have on BSC.

Anyway, if you want to buy Leo and participate in LPUD through Polygon network, here's how you go about it

• Visit Polycub docs to get the contract address for Pleo and add it to your wallet

• After that, go to the trade section and you will be redirected to a Sushiswap terminal

• Import Pleo with the contract address.

• You can use either Matic or USDC as the other trading pair against Pleo

• Unwrap Pleo to native Leo here

• Check Hive-engine or directly on Leofinance for your tokens, then stake them.

On Binance

Alternatively, you can do the same thing on Binance smart chain with Bleo.

• Go to Cubfinance docs to add Bleo contract address
• Go to trade section in Cubfinance and you will be redirected to a Pancakswap terminal where you also import Bleo with the contract address
• You may approve and trade either a BNB or BUSD pair against Bleo.
• Export to Native Leo here
• Stake your Leo.

What else?

To participate in LPUD, you simply have to stake any amount of Leo. However, to be eligible for Leo delegation prize, you have to stake at least 200 Leo.

At the time of writing, 200 Leo is worth around $10 or less. To be fair, that's not a lot of money.

The fun thing about LPUD is that you can either just buy Leo directly or earn it from publishing regularly.

There are no rules against staking in multiple accounts that I'm aware of. In fact, stake as much Leo as possible, because the more the merrier.

In the next edition, the only eligible participants are those that haven't powered down Leo between today and the 15th of next month.

The prizes are only available for individuals with less than 20K Leo power staked.

The grand prize of 20K has the power to elevate the status of one of us plebs, so good luck to all my fellow plebians.
