Back home and counting down

After a couple of hours on the road, we are finally home and now it is all about waiting. We weren't away for too long, so there's not much cleaning to do but the dogs we left with our neighbour were dirty, so we gave them a good washing.

My wife has been checking the progress chart of our application and it looks like our documents have already gotten to the table of the decision-makers. If luck is on our side, we will not have to wait to long and the next phase will be sorting out our flight fee, amongst others.

My mind has already shifted focus to the flight fee, particularly as prices continue to rise as we approach September. From what I've heard, there's going to be a rush for tickets at some point and that tends to hike the price, so we have to book as soon as we can to ensure we don't overspend for it.

In any case, I think this position is a pretty nice place to be in as we wait and countdown towards the response from the UK. As much as we'd like to get a cheap flight, one thing I know for sure is that we will pay, regardless of the price. We have gone too far to let something as trivial as flight ticket to worry us.

There's an air of expectation and excitement lingering as we take steps closer to our goal. At the same time, I am very pensive and regularly doing calculations to ensure we arrive there in the best possible way.

More liquidation

As much as I'd like to avoid it, it seems like there will be a lot more liquidations to do along the way. Moreso now that we need to scour funds to pay for flight ticket.

Interestingly, I'm not putting too much emphasis on my GLg assets since that marketplace isn't exactly buzzing right now. In any case, I suspect that things will take off in earnest sometime in September and that will also add to the funds I'm stacking for our travels.

There's barely anything available to sell right now and based on my calculations, I'd have to liquidate pretty much everything I have on hive to pay for both our tickets. No regrets or looking back though, this is the choice I've made and moving forward, I think it will actually be beneficial for my Hive wallet.

At the end of this venture, I'll no longer have to depend on hive or crypto for sustenance, so everything I earn moving forward will be staked or reinvested into the community. I already have plans to restart my Twitter page and fully focus on creating video content.

Since I'll be moving to a place with steady electricity, better and cheaper internet, I'll be able to make gaming content and upload high quality videos without breaking the bank. All of this will hopefully add value to Hive and whatever is earned will in turn be reinvested into the platform.
