Due to personal circumstances, I needed to stop posting and playing splinterlands for about a year. As my my first post and part of this weeks social media challenge I will share one of my matches in my return to the slpinterland realm.

Earth vs Dark

I've noticed that previous matches of my opponent was mostly using earth decks. I decided to work with a summoner that provides minus 1 magic damage and one less health. This help negate the magic damage boost and reduced overall health of my opponents monsters by one.

The lineup

My frontline consisted of Cursed Windeku with the thorns ability. followed by a cursed slimeball for its low mana cost and this will act as my secondary tank. My death elemental will provide magic damage to backliners due to its snipe ability. Silent Shavi and undead badger will further amplify my backline damage with their sneak skill. And the dark astronomer will provide needed ranged damage.

The opponent as anticipated used a unicorn mustang with Void skill protecting it from magic damage. It is supported by a goblin psychic which will provide needed heals. the regal peryton with its flying ability together with the khmer princess will dish out magic damage. good thing i was able to counter the summoner.

Round 1

I was able to gain an advantage by taking out the goblin psychic with 2 sneak attacks coming from both silent shavi and undead badger. My cursed windeku had sustained quite a bit of damage but due to thorn skill was still able return and inflict return damage back to the unicorn mustang.

Round 2

In the third stage of the second round, I've lost my cursed windeku due to the magical damages received as well as the melee attack of the unicorn mustang. However, the thorns damage played a big role in reducing the health of the mustang to just 1.

By the 7th turn of the 2nd round I was able to take out the khmer princess. The regal perytons health points was reduced to 3 courtesy of my sneak attacks.

Entering the 10th turn the dark astronomer was able to hit the unicorn mustang causing it to be eliminated from the game. Only 1 summon remains from the enemy lineup vs my 5 dark monsters.

Round 3

The cursed slimeball was easily taken out. And this turned out to be just fine as it gave enough time for the rest of my summons to easily take out the regal peryton and reduce its health to zero. the dark astronomer dealt the final blow and secured my first victory in splinterlands.
