What can 150k staked SPS do?

Prologue

I just reached my goal (not milestone, goal) for SPS in 2025. Which means, I really set that one too low. It's barely June. Anyway, I thought it might be a good time to check into what that means, having 150k SPS staked, and think about what I want to do with it in the future.

Interest Income

Currently sitting at around 11,50%, that would be 17,250 SPS just in APR for me - but that includes vouchers, so it's probably a little less, depending on the value of vouchers.

The Voucher/SPS ratio is 0,13, meaning you get 0,13 vouchers for each SPS. Vouchers are currently at around 30 DEC, and SPS is currently at 8.25 DEC. Meaning, you get 8,25 DEC and 3,9 DEC in Vouchers with every SPS you earn in interest.

Vouchers are 30% of the APR value in DEC! I didn't know that.

Back to topic. I'll get around 15k SPS in APR, which is around 10% - if it all stays the same. 10% is nice. It's around 41 SPS and 0,8 Vouchers daily, which I then can stake again and get interest on the interest, and so on.

The total daily DEC at current prices is around 340 DEC from SPS and 25 DEC from vouchers, total 365 DEC/day.

Modifiers

Okay, this one is not exact as I rent 20k SPS extra, so this data is for 170k SPS.

Modern

I had to play a battle for this one quickly in order to get the numbers. It was a cool battle on top, another underdog win with Silver-League-Caps against maxed.

But anyway.

With 170k SPS, I get a modern modifier of 12.47 at a rating of 3,000, leading to 8.75 SPS and 850 Glint - but behold. That is with 1 black card and 2 GF, so the real earning is a little lower. Disregarding the 40%, it's 6.25 SPS and 610 Glint.

With a win rate of 50%, that would lead me to 75 SPS per day, or 620 DEC at current swap. And that is without considering that I usually play higher in the league, I just didn't take the time to really play these days.

Wild

170k SPS gives me a modifier of 7.29 in Wild, with a ranking of 3840 at the moment.

That translates into 4 SPS and 780 Glint per Wild-Win, at the moment.

Potential daily income from that at a 50% win-rate would be 48 SPS, or 396 DEC at current swap.

Governance

Yes, that, too, is an important part of Splinterlands. Recently, we've had quite a few proposals again, mostly from the team itself. With my 150k, I own around 0,01% of the circulating supply of 1,450,000,000. But Governance is based on Staked SPS, and there I'm at 0,015% - so 50% more weight!

Sounds like nothing? In a country where 10 Mio. people are allowed to vote, the weight of each vote is 0,00001%. My weight would be equivalent to 1,500 people in this equation. But Splinterlands doesn't have 10 Mio. players (yet), but around 10k:

Active players, that is. But I don't think in-actives go for governance. That would be 0,01% vote weight per player, bringing my weight to 1,5 players - theoratically. Then, there is how much SPS is actually voted on proposals.

230-250,000,000 SPS voted. That is a quarter of the staked SPS that could vote, bringing my weight up to 0,06%. Meaning, I'm voting for 6 players. And I'm not a whale yet, according to a table that Azircon postet, I'm an Orca.

Conclusion

My stake in SPS brings me around 800-1,000 DEC per day now, depending on how and what I play. That does not count the tournaments, as the amount of SPS does not really affect those once the threshold is passed. And it doesn't account for accumulated interest.

The governance part was also a little surprising. I think Azircon posted the stats on SPS holders a while back, and I did notice that I was in the upper half. But I didn't think I'd weigh in like 6 players with my vote. That's pretty cool.

Future

The Conclave Arcana hype is finally fading. The price is dropping. I'll probably start buying again soon, at least a little bit, depending on how Land and CA card prices develop. As I calulcated in my nerd guide, I'm currently making around 4-5k of SPS monthly, so the achievable goal for 2025 is now a stake if 175k - with only tournaments, brawls and battles.

I really think it's worth it. Both to enhance my ranked earnings, as well as my vouchers (those cards are getting better...).
