Summer on my Land.

Prologue
August past, September is here - and before I beat the dead horse with the typical "Wake me up, when September ends", I have a report for you. More than anything, I'm interested in completing this report as much as I can, to really get a complete picture of my Splinterland. Meaning, state of money spent, how much I got back, how Land is doing, and so on.
Value Situation
The status quo on spending and value in my post by the end of May was $7,330 in money spent. Since then, I have spent:
June | July | August |
---|---|---|
$453 | $416 | $496 |
Meaning, I'm at a total spend of $8,695 coming from my real life earnings into SPL. Quite a lot.
Peakmonsters values my card collection at $6,500. So, on the value side we have:
Item | Tokens | Token Value | USD Value |
---|---|---|---|
Cards | $6,500 | ||
Land | 7 common, 1 rare | $15/$30 | $135 |
Boosts | 1 Totem C, 1 Totem R, 1 Title R | $15/$60/$65 | $130 |
SPS | 164,700 SPS | $0,0083 | $1,367 |
Staked DEC | 137,500 DEC | $0,0007799 | $107,25 |
Total | $8239,25 |
This does not include my BFA Cindergrim nor my GF Mermaid, as those are not listed and for that reason it doesn't show up anywhere.
So, at the moment, just considering my spending and current hold assets, I lost around $460 in value. I seriously play SPL for 2 years now, so that makes it around $20 per month. That is absolutely okay for a hobby.
What is not included here is the spending that came from my HIVE earnings, as those are generated within the ecosystem.

SPS
I'm almost at 165k SPS staked, and August contributed 6,139 SPS to that. If I can hold that, I'll reach the 175k by the end of October. The month-over-month does look a little grim, though, a decline of 17%.
SPS Earnings 2025 | June 2025 | July 2025 | Aug 25 | Growth m/m | Growth Total |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Tournaments | 1329 | 3538 | 2400 | -32% | 81% |
Ranked & Brawls | 2328 | 2318 | 2846 | 23% | 22% |
Bought on the Market | 1310 | 800 | 150 | -39% | -89% |
Staking Rewards | 734 | 741 | 740 | 0% | 1% |
Others | 2 | 2,340 | 2,252 | -4% | 45% |
Total | 5598 | 7401 | 6139 | -17% | 10% |
The total growth over these three last months is still positive, and that considering that I'm almost not buying any SPS on the market anymore.

Especially the Tournament-Side suffered in August. I was on a vacation for 4 days and missed some high-profile Tournis, as well as forgot to submit teams to some others. The decline is hence deserved.
DEC
DEC followed the example of SPS with a decline. Due to how the seasons fell, I spent 6k DEC on Wild Pass in August.
DEC Income | June 2025 | July 2025 | Aug 25 | Growth |
---|---|---|---|---|
Profit Land Sales | 1621 | 3628 | 1.504 | -59% |
Rent Income | 6131 | 6181 | 6.989 | 13% |
Tournaments | -3260 | -5500 | -4.175 | -24% |
Wild Pass | -4000 | -2000 | -6.000 | |
Total | 2491,182 | 2309,708 | -1681,834 | -173% |
So, in the end, my DEC spending on functional parts beat my income - but that is also the effect of not selling a lot of resources. I have to come up with a consistent strategy for that.

Since we're already talking about Land and my investments in that were quite the thing in August, let's jump over there.
Land
In August, I made a lot of deals. I bought 3 plots, including a rare stone plot, for $45. I bought a total of 4 Beta Rare RF cards for $120 total and a rare title for $60. And in the end, I purchased 3 Beta Epic GF for $105, but those came into play today, beginning of September.
Total investment in land in August: $330

And that bumped my Land production quite nicely. I'm now at 137,424 staked DEC, up from 90k at the beginning of August. Thanks to the BLT, we can now look at our production nicely summarized. Click here for my production summary.

Not only that, additionally the efficiency between Dark Energy and Production point has gone way up, to 85%. While Beta Rare RF have an efficiency of only 55%, Beta Rare GF have one of 300% - that balances things out quickly.
RESOURCES | June | July | August |
---|---|---|---|
Dark Energy | 80540 DEC | 90076 DEC | 137424 DEC |
Grain | 27344 PP | 28864 PP | 41395 PP |
Wood | 3154 PP | 5495 PP | 5495 PP |
Stone | 27885 PP | 27885 PP | 66440 PP |
Iron | 3702 PP | 5347 PP | 4020 PP |
Efficiency PP/DEC | 77% | 75% | 85% |
It's also visible that I'm focusing on Stone and Grain production. After Stone fell under the Grain Factor, I switched from developing my stone to grain again, as there is much room for improvement.

That leads me to a production of beautiful 8.843 per hour according to the BLT, which translates to a stunning 77,464 DEC/year.
Land Value
In my post at the end of May, I had $313 invested in Land, excluding DEC. Since then, I have purchased quite a few cards. The value of my cards on land alone has gone up to $669. Including the mermaid, that would be $810.
Asset | Value |
---|---|
Cards | $810 |
Totems | $75 |
Title | $65 |
Plots | $135 |
Staked DEC | $107,25 |
Total | $1192.25 |
in DEC | 1,528,721 |
aROI | 5.1% |
I will track my land purchases and sales from now on a little closer, to see how all that develops. Also, the goal is to get Land to a point where it's self-propagating, meaning the DEC from Land goes directly back into Land, in form of cards or whatever. We'll see how that works out!
Conclusion
Though both SPS and DEC earnings went down, the overall DEC rate still went up slightly, by 1,000 DEC. That's thanks to the better SPS:DEC conversion rate at the moment. Anyway, I'll take it.

According to my projection, I'm still on a good path to make it to my goal of $55 earnings in November - but that depends very much on the DEC price.

Since my last report, DEC has dropped 7.6%, leading to my converted earnings drop by 6,3%.
That said, I think I'd rather put my goal in DEC. Including the new production of Land and its contribution of around 6k DEC per month, I want to see if I can make it to a total of 70,000 DEC per month in overall Splinterlands earnings.
