Intro

This post is about the River Nymph.

This is such a situational card. Now 3rd in row a card I dislike. Even this week it was so hard to find a good battle where it could shine it cost me my rating and ERC.

I know it is possible to write about an other cards, for me it is the challenge also to use this card. Sometime it surprises me, this time it did not 🤣.

It's not that the monster is bad but I do not have any reflect magic/return fire or thorn monster with the water splinter so the amplify is just worthless. It could be a solid play with poison rules set. When this is the case i always chose fire or death over the water team because of the immunity monsters or with high mana just high health monsters with much more damage.

I might try her with the dragon team tomorrow.

For now I will do a different format and show some battles where it did not work as expected.
Hope this can also be entertaining to read or to be educational.

Stats

Mine is a level 4 card. Here it gets amplify. As described above it's a wast i do not got water monster where it can synergize with.

Strategy

Normal strategy where I try to use the River Nymph is when there is a poison ruleset is in play.

The Battles

Battle 1

In this battle you can see the benefit of choosing death over water in the poison rule set.
Especially with the stun and immunity like the revealer in this poison rule-set.

Battle 2

A bit of a forced play. Nice to see the cleanse does remove the poison once but far to little power to overcome my opponent

Battle 3

When i saw my opponent lineup i directly saw defeat, lot of magic reflect and amplify. I stand no change. Even that my opponent does not have immunity or cleanse it a easy victory for my opponent.

Conclusion

So from 25 battle i got 3 battles where i could have used the river nymph and all where losses. Don't like the card there are better options to play in the poison rule set.

Quickly forget about this week battle challenge and focus on the next one👋.
