Back in Frontier… Having fun With My Accounts

we are back with a Splinterlands social media challenge and this one is all about Frontier. I have been having fun playing with my accounts and wanted to share a bit of my journey, this mode continues to be one of my favorite parts of the game at the moment, next to land of course 🤣.

For those who follow me, you already know I enjoy Frontier and play it daily. Why, you might ask, especially since the cards are worth very little. Well it is simple, the fun comes first. There is still money to be made but the fact that it can be played completely free to play is huge in my opinion. Do not expect to become a millionaire with it but look at it like this, you are playing a game you enjoy and that is the basis to keep going long term. Everything you earn can be rolled back into the game to build a better deck, climb higher tiers, or even dip your toes into Modern.

I play with a few accounts and with my main account I just reached something I am pretty proud of. I completed the entire Frontier set. That has been a fun hunt for me because I tried to complete it without putting money into this mode. I did sell some cards and buy some here and there but overall it is done and it feels great seeing that big 100 percent.

So is the hunt over, do I stop playing. Well not for me at least not now. I still have my alt accounts and one of them I really want to boost to the max so it can also play Modern at a low level. This is something I find fun because I want to see how many Soulbound Conclave cards I can earn using that method.

Above you see the current state and it is already pretty far. My strategy is simple, all frontier packs go to this account. Also the ones earned on my main account. Everything goes into finishing this set as well.

I have burned all excess Rebellion Soulbound and Chaos Legion Soulbound that i had in this account for glint and I have been doing chests. And let’s be honest, opening chests is pure fun. Of course I also hope to land a jackpot prize.

Speaking of jackpot prizes… I do not count on it but once in a while while playing Frontier you get to participate in the weekly drawing. And my alt account actually hit big last time with a BF pull. That felt amazing.

For context, I have played Frontier for around seventeen weeks with this account.

So yes the chance is low but the thrill is real. When you do hit something sweet you need to decide what to do next. Play it in Modern for the extra twenty percent glint bonus or try to sell it. For this one I am going to try and sell it. Why, you might ask. If I get somewhere between ten and fifteen dollars I can buy some Conclave Arcane Archons which will help me a lot when competing in Modern.

Now about these Modern battles. Since I have a strong enough Frontier deck now I can play in Modern. It is tough I will not lie. It becomes much easier once you get a few powerful Conclave units but since this is a challenge I am slowly grinding. Right now I play in Bronze and I win some and lose some.

Let’s talk a bit about earnings as a low level Modern player. I delegated myself 3K SPS which is around 20$. That is enough to play in Bronze and even low Silver which is what I am aiming for. You need SPS to earn glint and glint is used to buy reward chests. Every win gives me around one hundred to one hundred forty glint depending on bonuses. Half is paid directly and the other half at the end of the season.

Once the season payout hits I will likely buy Minor or Major chests. If you want cards the rarity chests are better but I personally enjoy the gamble that you might hit a jackpot that gives actual value to upgrade your deck.

Because I play this account irregularly the number of weekly ranked draw entries I get is low so I skip that part for this account. But the mode still gives tokens for every five Modern wins. With the pass activated you get a small chance at a Conclave Arcana prize.

Just for context my main account has around 300 entries each week but for now I am not spending extra DEC on the alt account. I need that DEC to upgrade cards.

So there you have it a bit of rambling about Frontier and how I approach the mode with my main and my alts.

And just for the record, if you play multiple accounts make sure they do not get matched against each other. If that happens too often it can look like win trading. I asked the Splinterlands team to group my accounts so they are not matched together.
