Another Season (158) in the Books... What's Happened in the Last Two Weeks?
Season Summary
Try to keep up… because it’s been a wild ride in Splinterlands lately.
The big headline? Conclave Arcana is live — and yes, you can finally open those packs! I picked up a few extra starter packs just for the joy of ripping them open. And I’ll be honest… I’m even a little scared to touch my 200 standard packs. 😅
Why? Because with my usual luck, I don’t expect fireworks. And let’s be real — the only pulls we really see are the insane ones people post after screaming with joy. (I’d do the same, don’t worry! 😂)
It’s probably some kind of healthy jealousy. I genuinely wish everyone luck with their pack openings — but hey, I’d love some of that luck to land on me too. Pretty sure a lot of you can relate.

All of it was within normal distribution — no crazy jackpot moment, but still fun!
So… When Do I Open My Standard Packs?
That’s the million-dollar question.
I’m holding off for now, and here’s why:
Better Black Foil odds later – There’s a tiny increase in Black Foil chances as time goes on. I know, I’m not expecting miracles from 200 packs, but hey, why not optimize a bit?
Midnight Potions shortage – I actually tried to sell mine to buy back cheaper… but prices haven’t spiked yet. It seems like everyone’s generating enough for their own needs — or the big potion whales are keeping the market stable. Markets will market. 🤷♂️
💡Staking strategy conflict – Now here’s the sneaky one not many know… hint hint. Right now, you can stake packs and cards separately for rewards. So I plan to stake both (rebellion cards and conclave packs). BUT — if I open my packs, I can no longer stake them, and there’s a limitation: I can’t stake Rebellion cards alongside Conclave Arcana cards in the wagons. That means I’d lose staking value on my Rebellion set just to open these packs. Until the team gives full details on how this will evolve, I’m playing it safe and holding tight.
Season Recap: Back to Modern
I jumped back into Modern ranked and honestly, had a blast. With CA live, I probably won’t touch it much the next few seasons — I just don’t have enough Rebellion cards yet. So I might drop a league or two temporarily.
Still, I pushed hard in Modern and managed to finish 4th on the Gold League Leaderboard — SWEET! That score landed me a nice 100,000 GLINT bonus. 💰
I immediately threw those Glints at legendary rarity draws to move closer to my 100% collection milestone. Slowly but surely, we’re getting there!
Land Expansion: Region 85 Feels Like Home
This season, I also expanded more into Land — mostly picking up new worker units, including some legendary Untamed units. My goal was to make Region 85 self-sufficient, and guess what? We’re there. Feels good. 🌱💪
What’s Next?
Now here comes the headache…
Do I keep expanding into Land, or go deeper into Conclave Arcana?
Both paths are super tempting. I’ve got a bit of extra cash coming in this month, so I might spend more — just not sure where yet. Gonna let it simmer and see what direction feels right.

Was in the same dilemma too. I was about to write about how I converted my HBD to DEC to buy land but changed my mind and bought some Reb cards so I can still play in the Modern. Will buy CA cards when I get some funds. Things are getting exciting as always. Vonak !BBH
