Enlightened Sporecerer

Hello hello~~ So my Monday wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sure I have a few things I had to do overtime on but I'm kind of happy that I went back to the lab dorm yesterday to do my chores in advance so that my Monday can just be allotted to work and rest. And of course to my art activities because it's art season again for me and I'm trying to give myself time but also am tying to pressure myself to be consistent again because I don't really have anybody occupying my time anymore... so might as well do that for myself.

So this week, I went with the sporecerer XD I do like the mushroom characters a lot, as you could see from my last drawing of the Madcap Magus XD idk, I just think they're all so cute. I haven't tried my hand on the fungus liner though but I definitely should soon

So I made it look like it was meditating and I was pretty happy with the pose and all but I think I could have executed better. Either way, weird poses should be something to further study because I haven't really been drawing people often enough to remember anatomy and poses that well again.

For my progression:

Well, I forgot to take a snap of the sketch again because that part was just hell and it confused me quite so. So I went straight to the base layer and probably debated a bit in my head on what art style I would go with. Did I want to do that storybook thing again or did I want to try something else? I wanted to try the art style @deddywox did, really but IDK I was too lazy to learn and too tired from work to see if I could pull it off.

Then I went blending and figuring out colours because I gave up thinking and attempting and I kind of just deleted the ink line layer and just went with the storybook feel. It was cute though and I thought the process was going pretty smoothly until I went darker and thought I was too lazy to keep color mapping just to make the colors keep matching so I think I won't do weird poses like this again for a while.

This is where I was the most confused because I accidentally painted over the legs and I could not, for the life of me, remember how I did the legs. so it was basically me just trying to get a feel of things again to make it less awkward but I think it still came out awkward in the end XD

Then with my magic highlight skills and this new addiction of mine to streaks of light... I just had to XD and I am happy I did so it doesn't completely look like it's pooping anymore XD

Well that's me for my Monday ^^ I am really trying to be as present as I can be for this month because I really want to grow my hive account really well this year. So I hope you can bear with all the randomness I have for this month and maybe for the next few months. I might post twice a day more often for a while too. But we'll see if I can keep up with my activity plans for the rest of the year. I just really need a lot of distraction from this loneliness I have now.
