Arcade Colony is an emerging platform in the Web3 gaming space especially on Hive blockchain, it aims to integrate and unite all games with a single use of token, named Colony blending the excitement of arcade-style of gameplay with the use of Hive blockchain technology and Hive-Engine's tokenization.

First of the many, Moonkarts is a kart racing extravaganza that not only delivers enjoyment, but also allowing everyone to enjoy a token economy to enhance user experience. However, an average user needs to understand everything especially on the tokenization part, as it pertains to blockchain and crypto. Here are the Token System of Arcade Colony:

MoonKarts operates within Arcade Colony's token economy, primarily COLONY, the governance and staking token of the Arcade Colony system. Certain pools of Colony tokens are allocated in MoonKarts that enable players to earn rewards from their matchmaking experience. The token will also be used to participate in decision making activities such as Dao proposals.

The second token is pretty simple, think of it as the USD of Arcade Colony named - $SCRIPT. It is a stablecoin designed for in-game purchases and transactions. So the market (internal market of Moonkarts) operates in a so called $SCRIPT/USD based pricing. You see the cards pricing in USD, which will be converted into script. Ideally, the pricing should be 1USD = 1SCRIPT, but because of huge sell pressure of script, the value of script goes lower than 1 USD, making the conversion a little bit tricky. So if you purchase a $0.10 value of card from market, it should be $0.10 worth of SCRIPT tokens. If the price of Script is $0.20 each, then it is by computation you will be spending 0.5 SCRIPT on that card you purchased.

$SCRIPT is also required for staking / locking your cards into Autovault. It requires 2 Script per card staked, which in return will give you Fuels. These fuels will then be required each ranked matchmaking you do or else you won't get any rewards.

The Dynamic Rewards System

Rewards system is split into two categories, Ranked matchmaking and Leaderboard rewards. These are primarily affected by the following:

  • Staking factor (amount of Colony you staked, the higher the Colony staked the bigger the staking factor)
  • Quality of Cards (rarity, levels, and GF/RF plays a vital role into the amount of Colony you get per win & orbital points if you collect atleast three orbitals in a game)
  • You need to be 1st or 2nd positioned in the race to qualify for rewards, 3rd place beyond you will receive penalty in your ranked matchmaking points
  • 3rd place beyond has no rewards
  • Each season has 10 days to accumulate for the amount of rewards you receive in the leaderboards
