DEC is finally in its peg

It is believed that Splinterlands is again going to have very good times after the recent update. I'm not regular in playing the game these days. I used to play the game for some time. I guess I continued playing the game for two or three seasons but then stopped playing the game due to lack of time. The good thing is that I'm still a passive investor and I'm able to grab some profits from the game whenever there is a chance in the form of passive investment.

Some might say this is the right time to purchase splinterlands assets. The reason is because there is a huge expectation for the bull market to start soon. It took several months for DEC to reach its peak value. Many experts are saying that this is a good sign for the start of the bull run. We will all be able to enjoy the bull market only after Hive and Hive Engine assets start pumping. If it is not going to happen anytime soon, the market pump is not great news for me because most of my holdings are inside Hive.

I was initially thinking if it would be good to convert my DEC to SPS when the price improves but right now the price of DEC is looking very good. I did sell some DEC last month to book some profits but I do have a million DEC in stock. I have them in the diesel pools and the new income for DEC happens only through the rental income for delegating SPS. The team said that there would be more sinks for DEC and SPS and most likely DEC would stick to its pegged value. Now it has happened where DEC is at its peak value and we have to make use of this opportunity by booking some profits.

Trading during this opportunity

I don't believe that DEC would stay on this peg only for a short time. There is a high chance that the price would get pushed further and I think it is the right time to do some trading. People like swing trades and as the price of DEC is pegged with Hive and as there is a high chance for both prices to move forward, the trading opportunity will also be high. People can try both low as well as Hive and the trading becomes easier because people might start trusting the peg value as the reference and start doing their trades too.

Investments in diesel pools

Even though I'm thinking of booking some profits on DEC, I still think that it would be a good idea to invest in Diesel pools. Even though the returns may not be immediate, there is a high possibility that it is yet another passive income source. We have to put the funds inside that and forget about it. In other words, we can also say that we have DeFi in Hive. These trading pairs act as good DeFi investments.

The Diesel pool rewards are in the form of SPS and the more we contribute to the pool, the more share we might have and the rewards will be accordingly. I would like to accumulate as many tokens as possible before the bull markets start because when the bull market starts, if the bull market starts the value would go up and we may not be able to make enough investments or contribute enough. But at least for now DEC is in a good position and I'm planning to hold the major part in diesel pools and book some profits on the remaining. I should also be focusing on diversifying the remaining DECs that I hold and probably invest in some assets too in the future.
