Review of my goals and plans for 2022

I noticed that these last couple of days I've not been having the zeal, as well as the inspiration to post. Normally I'm not someone who posts everyday, but I usually have some bursts where I post 5 to 6 posts a week. I noticed these bursts are getting less frequent.

Could it be because of price? Not really, I still count hive as a dollar unconsciously most times, and I'm enjoying getting more hive on my posts even with lesser vote value because I know I'm getting it at a discount now. But yet for whatever reason I'm not very motivated.

For this reason I decided to go back to my first post of the year where I listed My hive goals for the year. I figured revisiting them would give me some kind of perspective on what I'm looking to achieve, and would motivate me to achieve them. I also realized we are very close to the halfway point of this year (July 2) so this is actually the perfect time to do so.

MY GOALS

Have at least 1,200 hivepower (staked hive): At the time of setting this goal I had just 300 hive power, and was about to fail to achieve my goal of going from 70 Hive power to 750 hive power in 3 months. With that in mind I set the goal a bit lower than what came to mind at first. Nonetheless, I currently have 970 hive power. If everything goes smoothly, I should have 1200 before September. And then my new goal would be 1500.

Obtain a reputation of at least 70: Now this one I knew would be a challenge especially since someone told me each value takes 10 times more votes than the last. Not sure how true this is but it's been getting seriously slow for a while now. I even created a checklist for the rep I'm supposed to be in by the start of each month, and luckily I'm still on track to get 70 at the end of the year. I'm currently on 65.7 rep. Reputation does not add anything to you monetary wise, but it shows a degree of commitment to the blockchain. Those with high reps are those who've been here for a while and have been consistent, so I do my best to increase it.

Get into blockchain gaming: This is the first of my goals that I've achieved so far. When I started I wasn't too sure if blockchain gaming was right for me, as I thought I wouldn't be able to make time. But It turns out some games don't need too much time. I started off with rabona because I love football. I enjoyed it for a while, but it seems I'm not too good at it. After some time I tried rising star which I'm still playing at the moment. It's been an interesting journey so far, and Just a couple days ago, I got my millionaire card.

Be more consistent in my posting and commenting

Now this is the goal I was looking for, I've been consistent with my comments, but my posting has not been too consistent, thankfully we are only half way through the year. I'm going to have to buckle up if I want to achieve this.

Get back to writing fiction weekly: Honestly I'd even forgotten such a goal existed. It's been a while since I've written any fiction. When I first became active, I used to write fiction every week, but lately it's felt like my imagination is drained.

I'm quite happy I revisited these goals I set for myself. It's shown me the things I've not been doing recently,and it's helped me know a few of the things I'll focus on in the second half of the year.
