Top Trends in Land Economy: Aura Production as a guide

I have been looking into some basic trends on how people populating their land plot and the following trend emerges:

  • Research in permanent decline
  • Aura hype is over, for now
  • SPS and Aura is about the same value right now
    • likely in near term, people will start producing SPS too, especially on low PP plots
    • Current price of SPS on not profitable for production for a lot of people

I used the annotated chart of Research, SPS and Aura production (boosted PP assigned to plots are proportional to production) to analyze the trend. I used Aura production in particular for a barometer. The day was April 29 when we first started producing Aura to make midnight potion.

Crafting Midnight Potions

People turned off Research (and some SPS plots) because Magical and Occupied plots gave 100% boost in Aura production. Since Research doesn't have any present value and midnight potion does, that was the most obvious choice for most. People turned off the Research production and converted the same plots to Aura Labs.

Aura is a pre-requisite to Midnight potion. The midnight potion was very lucrative at the start of the launch of Conclave Arcana pack openings on May 13, because the new black foil cards are highly valuable and midnight potions double the chance of those black foils while opening your packs.

There are some differences between Aura and Potions. Aura is soul bound and non-tradable while midnight potions are. So Aura can be produced and stored in an account for future use (like I am doing it now), but can't be tradable. Midnight potions are fully tradable.

Resource Requirements

Aura does require four natural resources, just like SPS/Research to produce. So one must have those resources stashed or generating constantly to feed the Aura Labs. So resource prices did rally around April 29, but peaked relatively quickly by May 13th.

Aura production stayed flat for about 7 days until most of our limited player based opened packs, and then it declined to a new baseline equilibrium. Currently similar amount of PP is allocated to both SPS and Aura production.

This will only change if there are new utility for midnight potion incorporated in the game.

You are not painting a very optimistic picture for the Land... I need to optimize my land plots still but with only ten plots I am producing just iron, wood, stone and grain. Even these ten require extra investment into them and once I get through that what should I do next? Does it make sense expanding land holdings at this time?

I am a realist.

Land is cheap now for sure. Success case considered, everything should be more expensive. Team just need to create new things constantly.

You have 5 plots active currently. You can check here.

You are positive with 0.9 DEC/hr. You can certainly do better. Consider putting higher PP cards on them.

I think I would have to purchase new cores, rebuild the buildings and move cards and all, right?

Yeah, SPS took a dive after the pack sales slowed down as many predicted.

Temptation is not bad as long as you have staying power

Nice informative charts, the midnight potion chart can also be something for level
level 1 natural resource producer (0-5 plots)
level 2 sps / aura production (10-20 plots)
level 3 research (20+ plots)

as rule of thumb for new comers to start, this can be in more depth with refined resource later on.

That is a good idea. Can make a infographic on it...

Great info! I'm still trying to further optimize my setup.

Side question, where do you create your infographics? They're simple and effective.
