I just compiled some opinions together Dave! I felt it is important to do this sooner rather than later.
By the way, while I have you here Dave. How do you feel about burning all DEC in the DAO?

I don't think that is a good idea at all. It would limit the flexibility the DAO has to contract Splinterlands in the future. I don't think that is good for the DAO. the players, or the team to have less flexibility. I don't see how the positive would in any way justify doing such a thing, it would be a super risky move.
Concept is then, we will burn SPS to DEC and give that to the team.
DEC will easily be at peg and SPS will be deflationary
I'm not a big fan of burning SPS DAO assets in general, and in this case I think its super risky.
Think about it. That's all.
It will solve the price problem. Because currently we are just recycling DEC and therefore the massive supply of DEC is holding the price down.
No pressure. Think about it. There is more than enough SPS in the DAO to supply and sustain next 3-4 pack runs.
