Proposal will pass. They are a card company they must sell cards for revenue. Giving older cards value doesn’t make revenue, right?
Plus some might argue successfully that older cards do have value. I mean they are certainly not free. Perhaps not enough value as you want.

I understand what you are saying, but it's almost like the developers have turned their backs on the long time investors. I don't feel like they appreciate my commitment to the game like they used to.
That’s the revenue model for almost everything today. I had to call my cable company, my insurance company every other year to get a “new customer” promotion rate. Otherwise your rate keep on increasing.
A lot of places don't actually do that anymore. They got tired of people playing the game I think.
