What's the threshold for being a whale? I mean, he's no whale shark, but an orca maybe?

it is a statistical parameter....we have defined it at hive as follow:

Category	VESTS Range	Hive Power (Approximate)	Voting Influence	Description
Plankton	< 1 million VESTS	< 500 HP	Minimal (< $0.01 per vote)	New or low-investment users with negligible influence on content or governance.
Minnow	1M – 10M VESTS	500 – 5,000 HP	Small (~$0.01–$0.10 per vote)	Emerging users with slight influence, often active in content creation.
Dolphin	10M – 100M VESTS	5,000 – 50,000 HP	Moderate (~$0.10–$1 per vote)	Established users with noticeable impact on content visibility and curation.
Orca	100M – 1B VESTS	50,000 – 500,000 HP	High (~$1–$10 per vote)	Major stakeholders who can significantly boost content or influence governance.
Whale	> 1 billion VESTS	> 500,000 HP	Very High (>$10 per vote)	Dominant players with substantial control over platform dynamics and trends.

At Staked SPS, we can define it as follows:

As per that definition, Land Plots are 150,000 total.

Wow this is so cool! Thank you for that! I'm a land dolphin! And and SPS Orca! I didn't know that existed. BUT if I may suggest to add one more category - the Purrgil. Stumbled upon it when I was searching for a whale which includes "jedo" in their scientific name. Of course, the algo brought me to Jedi Whales :-D And they're a lot bigger than regular whales, so...

That's a lot of Plankton out there. Good for baleen whales. I didn't know that so many people owned just 1 plot. Or is that the un-adjusted plankton of 0 plots? Still, many with just one plot or less.
