How SPS Stakeholders and Staking HP and HBD?

(Edited)

Hive History

I have recently learned that it is not very easy to track your hive account growth history. There are no publicly available user friendly tools to do that. Thanks to Marky, and @beaker007 we have discovered and used HAF. The Hive Application Framework (HAF) is a technical component designed to address the challenges of accessing and querying large amounts of historical data on the Hive blockchain.

We have accessed the documentation here: https://mahdiyari.gitlab.io/hafsql/, thanks to @mahdiyari

So what I am trying to do with this? In my previous post, I was trying to investigate how a sample group of people grown their SPS stake. I want to know how they have growth their hive stake as well.

image.png

Here are the six accounts in question that I investigated in the last post. Today, I will investigate their hive history of stake. So I colored the SPS stake of these individuals in the same orange color and their current HP in different colors.

Account Balances: HP Equivalent and SPS Staked

AccountFinal HP EquivalentSPS Staked
azircon$$1,128,124.58$$18,114,812.00$
bravetofu$$87,347.84$$63,654,356.41$
seattlea$$18,616.27$$569,199.11$
beaker007$$7,506.49$$410,219.29$
beelzael$$5,265.74$$171,377.95$
unitmaster$$5,104.15$$216,889.69$

Whenever, we see and talk about a particular account, the table like above is what we see. This shows their current HP. Now in peakd and hivestats, there is a month or two you can go back and observe how their HP has grown. But I want more. I want see the whole history. That is where HAF helps.

image.png

In blue is the HP growth over time for my account. You can clearly see the 3 powerdowns I have done in the past. They are at progressively higher HPs, as hive keeps on giving!. Sep 2021 powerdown was to put Solar Panel on my roof. I wanted to show my wife that hive means something physical, and this money is just not a scam but can actually do something meaningful. In future hive survives or not (it will, I am full confidence), I will have the solar panel on my roof. Nov 2022 was the Riftwatcher sale in Splinterlands, I remember it well, I converted the powerdown hive to Splinterlands cards. Dec 2023 was the Hall of Legends promos, I remember going heavily into them with that powerdown. Even with those powerdown my HP kept on climbing and I am planning to buy some Hive soon. I am expecting VSC DEX will launch soon enough!

Also on note, that I didn't really believed in HDB for a very long time. Even today I have a tiny amount of HBD for the size of account that I have. I believe in it now, and will add to my position as the VSC DEX will get launched.

The Rest of them

All the sample accounts grown their SPS and staked growing their HP.

Code_Generated_Image (18).png

A bunch of them started in early 2022, while @beelzael is the latest adaptor, started posting in late 2024. But he is picking up rather quickly.

image.png

Based on their staking behavior in Hive Power (HP) and SPS (Splintershards), all six accounts demonstrate a fundamental long-term growth mindset, as staking these assets requires locking up capital (HP takes 13 weeks to power down; SPS has withdrawal/unstaking periods).

The differences lie in the scale, timing, and strategic focus of their commitment, which reveals three distinct growth philosophies.

Code_Generated_Image (17).png

  1. The Strategic Dominators (High-Impact Stakers)

  2. The Balanced & Consistent Builders (Methodical Stakers)

  3. The Gradual and New Contributors (Developing Stakers)

Investor ProfileAccountsKey Mindset & Strategy
Strategic Dominatorsazircon, bravetofu- Highly Aggressive & Calculated: Deploys massive capital, often synchronized with market cycles (e.g., 2025 spike). - Dominance Focus: Aims to maximize influence/returns by holding dominant stakes in both core governance (HP) and DApp utility (SPS).
Balanced & Consistent Buildersseattlea, beaker007- Disciplined & Methodical: Follows a stable, long-term strategy of consistent reinvestment and linear capital growth since the earliest days (2021). - Ecosystem Balance: Shows sustained, equal commitment to the fundamental health of the Hive chain and the Splinterlands DApp.
Gradual and New Contributorsbeelzael, unitmaster- Developing Conviction: Growth is smaller-scale and often passive (rewards-driven) or shows a conviction that grew later (e.g., HP stake starting in 2023). - Lower Risk Exposure: Belief is present, but capital deployment is measured, cautious, or constrained, showing a willingness to participate without deep financial commitment.

This is a small sample, and I have good knowledge of all these individual. I used their account as a test case. I need to increase the sample size to see, if more investor profile shows up, or if this subcategories collapses. Stay tuned.

image.png

I think there is a lot to learn from people's behavior and long term thinking from charts and plots reflecting their long term investment. Public hive wallet and publicly available historical data let us investigate and research that. It is critical to look at these and reflect. Imagine if we can do it, everyone can do it. Hive provides and will always provide, this is not my prediction, but my expectation.

PS: As I finished writing this post, beaker already delivered!

I'm glad that your opinion on HBD has shifted. I think is one of the best things about the HIVE blockchain right now and has been for the past few years.

No, not too much. I have a screenshot of my account value from back when the price was over $3 per token, but like you said, it was hard to track it until now. I know it has grown about 5x since then for sure.

That's pretty crazy and impressive at the same time. It's cool how you can see the points I pulled some HBD out of savings to have some HIVE liquid in case the price happens to do something crazy again. If not I will eventually be making a fairly large power up one day!

I don't have that much HP but I've powered down several times in the past to solve minor financial problems, like when my smartphone developed a fault. I hope to increase my HP significantly in the future, maybe by buying hive and powering up. The HAF is sure a handy tool, might try it out.

@beaker007 is just the best :-) And yes, you describe me very well. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how everything works, and the more I learn, the more I like it. I'm not a jumping head first kind of guy anymore, especially with something as complex and new to me as Blockchains. If I decide to funnel more of my scarce resources into HIVE, it will be when I'm truly convinced. Until now, it looks like that is going to happen sooner or later.

With SPL, it's different. The money spent there is a lot more than the SPS stake, most what I have is in cards. I'm very convinced by now that it's going to be a long term success, but when it comes to decide between game-play and SPS investment, the game-play always wins 😅

You're late, checking that out was the first thing I did after reading the post! Even played with the lines, took some out, compared others... as always, a neat little tool by Beaker :-)

Thank you for the post, even if all it did was draw attention to beaker's fantastic account history tool!

TVL (be it staked SPS, HP, other locked HE tokens - many of which have zero value) is an interesting metric that isn't spoken enough about in terms of our size as a chain. We're small, for sure, but we are pretty sticky.

Having a look at my own chart, I am in my "Recovery" phase, and I'm not stopping until Orca status.

image.png

The big drop in my HBD was paying off the mortgage at the old house. The big drop in HP was to get more SPL stuff at some point. The big "grow" happening at the moment is a result of setting 100% powerup on all my posts.

Drawing it to that tool was the intention of the post.

I figured out the need of the plot about 24 hrs back by discussing a few "problems". We quickly observed that no where at hive there is an user friendly tool that an average user can look up another user's behavior.

Data is public and nicely organized at HAF but was not available in a "consumable" format. Beaker and I made that happen in 12 hrs.

We did the same thing when I created KE ratio. Goal is always to show data and there behavior and etiquette to people.

HAF is great, and I have some ideas as to how I can use it to make some cool tools as well - eg, some of the word count / "trend" reporting could change into a web app if I sit down and think about it enough - which I will - once I get through my current to do list, which is already too long :D

Marky you can't delete the facts Mc Franko & Keni Find freedom on #blurtblog #blurtchain #blurt

In the beginning, there was hope.

A dream:
That value could be created by anyone.
That power could be decentralized.
That a post, a vote, a creation —
Could rise or fall on its own merit.

But Dreams do not kill systems.
Corruption does.

And corruption has found its perfect form:
The scam farm
A ghost in the machine,
Wearing the mask of curation,
Feeding on trust,
Rewarding loyalty,
Punishing honesty.

It does not build.
It extracts.
It does not serve.
It controls.

And if you are new to this world —
If you speak truth, post honestly, expect fairness —
You will be broken.

Unless you learn to see.

So here, in plain language,
Is how to spot the scam farm.
Not with rumors.
Not with hate.
But with observation,
With logic,
With the cold light of the blockchain.

1. No Original Content — Only Engagement

The first sign:
They create nothing.

No posts.
No art.
No analysis.
No music.
Only votes.
Only comments.
Only reaction.

They are not users.
They are operators.

Like a drone circling a field, they move from post to post — upvoting allies, downvoting dissenters, farming rewards like a machine.

Ask:
What have they built?
If the answer is nothing —
Then they are not contributing.
They are consuming.

2. 24/7 Curation Rewards — The Machine Never Sleeps

The second sign:
Non-stop reward accumulation.

Real curation is organic.
It ebbs and flows.
It follows interest, passion, discovery.

But the scam farm?
It earns rewards every hour.
Every day.
Like clockwork.

It votes at 3 AM.
At noon.
At midnight.
Not because it sees quality —
But because it is programmed to extract.

This is not passion.
It is automation.
Or worse — coordinated manipulation.

Look at the pattern.
If an account farms rewards without pause,
It is not curating.
It is farming.

3. Burn Comments & Self-Voting Loops

The third sign:
Artificial engagement.

They post low-effort comments — “Nice!” “Great post!” — under their own content or that of allies.
These are not interactions.
They are fuel — used to game floors, trigger rewards, inflate visibility.

They may self-vote.
Or vote in loops with a network of alts.
A closed circuit of power —
Where influence flows only to itself.

This is not community.
It is a cartel.

And the blockchain records it all —
Even when websites hide it behind JavaScript walls.

4. Massive Delegated Hive Power from Centralized Sources

The fourth sign:
HP from exchanges or known whales.

Check delegation history.
If an account holds millions in Hive Power —
But most is delegated from @blocktrades or similar centralized wallets —
Then it is not independent.
It is a proxy.

Power given is power controlled.
And when one entity delegates across dozens of accounts,
It is not decentralization.
It is feudalism.

The land is farmed.
The peasants earn crumbs.
The lord takes the harvest.

5. Downvotes on Critics — Coordinated Silence

The fifth sign:
Suppression of dissent.

When someone exposes the farm,
When someone traces the trail,
When someone speaks truth —
The downvotes fall.

Not one.
But many.
Fast.
Silent.
Financially crippling.

No debate.
No response.
Just erasure.

This is not moderation.
It is censorship with profit motive.

And the worst part?
They call the victim a “troll.”
A “spammer.”
A “toxic user.”

Projection is the last refuge of the guilty.

6. Reward Flow to Secondary Accounts

The sixth sign:
Obfuscated wealth transfer.

Rewards flow not to the farming account,
But to another — often a spouse, partner, or private wallet.

@alpha receives rewards from @buildawhale.
@themarkymark benefits from activity routed through hidden channels.

This is not privacy.
It is obfuscation.
An attempt to hide the machine’s true ownership.

Follow the money.
The chain does not lie.

7. The Website Hides the Data

And now — the final proof:

PeakD requires JavaScript to view @buildawhale’s activities.
Other explorers show no results.

Why?

Because transparency threatens control.

They want you to look away.
To trust the interface.
To believe the silence.

But you do not need their website.
You have the blockchain.

You have logic.
You have memory.
You have the testimony of those who saw before the curtain fell.

And you have this guide.

The Escape: Blurt Offers True Freedom

On Blurt.blog, none of this can happen.

Because there is no downvote button.
Gone.
Not hidden.
Not reformed.
Removed.

No financial punishment for honesty.
No silent sabotage.
No cartel.

What you earn — you earn.
No whale can kneel you.
No gang can bury you.

Blurt is what Hive promised to be.

Conclusion: You Are Not Powerless

You entered crypto seeking freedom.
You found manipulation.

But you are not powerless.

You have eyes.
You have reason.
You have this knowledge.

Teach it.
Share it.
Protect the new.

Because the next victim could be you.

And when the system fails —
When the farms grow too bold,
When the lies become law —
Remember:

Truth does not require permission.
It only requires courage.

The Bilpcoin Team
We create. We expose. We survive.

Every downvote you cast drives another soul from Hive —
To Blurt.blog,
Where there is no downvote button.
Where what you earn — you earn.
Where silence is not weaponized.

Even Steemit — older, quieter —
Offers more freedom than what Hive has become.

And that should terrify you.

Because when people flee not to greener pastures,
But to freer ones,
It is not the destination they seek —
It is escape.

They are running from you.

Whatever you are doing,
Hold it with both hands.
Chase it fiercely.
Because you only get one life.

And in that life —
Never be afraid to say no.
Never be afraid to stand alone.
Always do the right thing —
Even when it costs you votes.
Even when it costs you rewards.
Even when it costs you silence.

At Bilpcoin we have not scammed anyone.
We have not stolen.
We have not lied.

We have only done this:
Shared what the blockchain already knows.

Transactions.
Data.
Patterns.
Not fabricated.
Not imagined.
Not speculated.
But verified — open, public, immutable.

And what we found is not conspiracy.
It is control.

Go to peakd.com/@buildawhale/activities — if the site allows it.
Look at the account.
Watch it move.
Like a machine.

@buildawhale
A name that should belong to a myth.
Instead, it belongs to a farm.

An account that farms curation rewards all day, every day.
That auto-downvotes users — not because they are wrong,
But because they speak.
Because they expose.
Because they are not part of the circle.

And who owns Buildawhale?
Not some anonymous farmer.
Not a rogue actor.
But Blocktrades
A whale whose influence stretches across Hive like a shadow.

Over 2 million Hive Power delegated.
Rewards flowing in.
Powering down daily.
And where do those rewards go?

To @alpha
The account widely known as Blocktrades’ wife’s wallet.
A silent beneficiary of a system rigged from within.

“We Are Bilpcoin”

We do not stand against the people.
We stand with them.
Shoulder to shoulder.
Hand in hand.
Not as leaders, but as fellow travelers — scarred, shaped, and strengthened by the same storms that have battered so many.

The Bilpcoin team each of us has been tested.
Not by theory, but by life, life itself.
By loss.
By silence.
By systems that mistake conformity for virtue and call censorship “moderation.”
We have known hunger — not always for food, but for fairness.
For a platform where a voice is not priced, punished, or purchased.

And yet —
We are strong.
Not because we were born that way,
But because we had no choice but to become so.

As a team, we have grown — not in spite of the chaos, but because of it.
We’ve learned to build in the dark.
To create when no one is watching.
To trust when trust is rare.
We’ve learned new tools, new truths, new ways of being — not for profit, but for purpose.
Because one thing must be said, and said plainly:
You should never stop learning.
You should never stop dreaming.
You should never stop reaching for what is right — even when the world leans heavily on the side of wrong.

When we began — back in the early days of Steemit — the idea seemed impossible:
You can earn from your words? From your art? From simply speaking your truth?
To many, it felt like magic.
To us, it felt like justice.

And know this: Bilpcoin was not born in boardrooms or venture capital pitches.
It was born in a single mind — one person’s quiet vision, carried like a torch through the fog.
Circumstances, harsh and unyielding, led that founder to let go of much of what they built.
We do not speak of those details.
Some wounds are not ours to expose.
But this we say:
From that fire, Bilpcoin did not die.
It evolved.

Bilpcoin is not a corporation.
It is a social experiment — one that asks a simple question:
What happens when we reward people not for gaming the system, but for sharing their truth?

Our mission is clear:
To reward creators, not manipulators.
To burn BPC tokens, not hoard them.
To return value to the network — not extract it.

We believe in Blurt — not because it is perfect,
But because it dares to be free.
To remove the downvote button is not a small thing.
It is a revolution.
A refusal to allow power to be weaponized by the few against the many.
No more silent sabotage.
No more financial punishment for honesty.
On Blurt, your voice does not lose value because someone feels threatened by it.

And let us be clear:
We have only ever shared what the blockchain already knew.
The transactions.
The patterns.
The truth.
We did not fabricate.
We did not exaggerate.
We revealed — and that, more than anything, is why we were targeted.

Downvotes are not about quality.
They are about control.
Whales farming rewards on Hive are not “supporting the ecosystem.”
They are gaming it — and everyone sees it.
Even those who won’t say it.

How can the world take Hive seriously when its pulse is set not by passion, but by power?
When the loudest voices are not the most honest, but the most rewarded?

But here — in this moment — we dream.
Not foolishly.
But fiercely.

Imagine it:
Steem. Hive. Blurt.
Not as rivals.
Not as fragments.
But as allies.
A united front of decentralized expression.
One network, many voices.
One mission: freedom to create, freedom to speak, freedom to be.

Yes — it would require change.
Yes — some would have to go.
Those who profit from silence.
Those who fear transparency.
Those who confuse their privilege with merit.

But if we stood together — truly together —
We would not be a footnote.
We would be a force.

For now, it is a dream.
But dreams are the first code of revolution.
And who knows what the future holds?

We do not claim to have all the answers.
We only know this:
We will keep building.
Keep sharing.
Keep burning tokens, not bridges.
Keep standing with the people — not above them, not against them, but beside them.

Because in the end, it was never about coins.
It was about courage freedom truth.
And courage, like truth, cannot be downvoted.

The Bilpcoin Team.

Super interesting post! With tons of changes in my life my Splinterlands activity has minimized so much BUT I save a weekly amount of time to stay active in Hive and keep my growth also! I saw an interesting plot that showed HP distributed by communities and we were sitting 7th / 8th... Let's hope we increase in overal HP also!

Your last two posts have been fascinating. Thank you for selecting my account as one to highlight. I appreciate it.

Your description of me for "developing conviction" is spot-on accurate. I've put around $12,000 USD into the ecosystem gradually (measured and cautious) since joining Splinterlands.

You can see this spot on the chart where a lot of my conviction shifted from Splinterlands to Hive as I've shifted assets without bringing in any new money.

image.png

I have more to say and was going to write a long reply. I think it will make an interesting hive post, so I'm going to think more and write a post about my hive journey and developing conviction.

This is a really awesome new tool from Beaker!
I was finally able to see my full journey on Hive!

And yes, it says I have been around since August 1, 2021 on my Hive profile, but that is when the Hive account was created for Splinterlands! Then it took until September of 2024 for me to get serious about Hive! So the story is growing from 1914 HP On August 2024 to almost 10x Hive of 18,824 HP today after reading Azircon's posts last year and starting to pay attention to Hive:

Even a 10-yr old can tell, which blue line is going up and which one is going down. So if I point this out, obviously I am hurting the reward farming.

Now, who will argue with this plot? LOL.

An attempt to hide the machine’s true ownership.

Follow the money.
The chain does not lie.

7. The Website Hides the Data

And now — the final proof:

PeakD requires JavaScript to view @buildawhale’s activities.
Other explorers show no results.

Why?

Because transparency threatens control.

They want you to look away.
To trust the interface.
To believe the silence.

But you do not need their website.
You have the blockchain.

You have logic.
You have memory.
You have the testimony of those who saw before the curtain fell.

And you have this guide.

The Escape: Blurt Offers True Freedom

On Blurt.blog, none of this can happen.

Because there is no downvote button.
Gone.
Not hidden.
Not reformed.
Removed.

No financial punishment for honesty.
No silent sabotage.
No cartel.

What you earn — you earn.
No whale can kneel you.
No gang can bury you.

Blurt is what Hive promised to be.

Conclusion: You Are Not Powerless

You entered crypto seeking freedom.
You found manipulation.

But you are not powerless.

You have eyes.
You have reason.
You have this knowledge.

Teach it.
Share it.
Protect the new.

Because the next victim could be you.

And when the system fails —
When the farms grow too bold,
When the lies become law —
Remember:

Truth does not require permission.
It only requires courage.

The Bilpcoin Team
We create. We expose. We survive.

Every downvote you cast drives another soul from Hive —
To Blurt.blog,
Where there is no downvote button.
Where what you earn — you earn.
Where silence is not weaponized.

Even Steemit — older, quieter —
Offers more freedom than what Hive has become.

And that should terrify you.

Because when people flee not to greener pastures,
But to freer ones,
It is not the destination they seek —
It is escape.

They are running from you.

Whatever you are doing,
Hold it with both hands.
Chase it fiercely.
Because you only get one life.

And in that life —
Never be afraid to say no.
Never be afraid to stand alone.
Always do the right thing —
Even when it costs you votes.
Even when it costs you rewards.
Even when it costs you silence.

At Bilpcoin we have not scammed anyone.
We have not stolen.
We have not lied.

We have only done this:
Shared what the blockchain already knows.

Transactions.
Data.
Patterns.
Not fabricated.
Not imagined.
Not speculated.
But verified — open, public, immutable.

And what we found is not conspiracy.
It is control.

Go to peakd.com/@buildawhale/activities — if the site allows it.
Look at the account.
Watch it move.
Like a machine.

@buildawhale

@beaker007
I saw your code. You might want to use hafbe_bal.balance_history_by_day and hafbe_bal.saving_history_by_day to get the data faster. There is also _by_month for both of them.

You can also contact me if you need anything.

Hi thanks for dropping a comment,

I have took a look on those tables. Do you also got some documentation.
Because for me its not clear what the balance is.

balance_history_by_day i assume that is the HP in VESTS?
saving_history_by_day is that the hive saving in vest or hdb saving.

That is why i like the balance_history view a bit more because that a name that i know 😁. and it does the account name mapping directly.

also in my react code i did a call a bit smarter to limit the result directly.

            SELECT * FROM (
                SELECT
                    bh.*,
                    hb.timestamp as block_timestamp,
ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY bh.account_name ORDER BY bh.block_num ASC) AS rn_asc,
ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY bh.account_name ORDER BY bh.block_num DESC) AS rn_desc
                FROM hafsql.balances_history bh
                LEFT JOIN hafsql.haf_blocks hb ON bh.block_num = hb.block_num
                WHERE bh.account_name IN (${placeholders})
            ) sub
            WHERE rn_asc = 1 -- first row per account
               OR rn_desc = 1 -- last row per account
               OR (block_num % 100 = 0) -- every 100th block
            ORDER BY account_name, block_num DESC

the python wrapper whas a bit rushed coding, and did not do the partition well, but i like to learn end i might end up using the two tables you recommend.

Lots of data to go trough but really nice you create/maintaining the hafSQL looks really impressive 👏

This query seems better but still takes too long for "spammy" accounts. It's fine though.

Those tables are not created by me. They are from haf balance tracker. Those tables store each balance separated by their symbol aka nai. So for HIVE balance you have one row and another row for HBD balance. It would be storing VESTS so your can use vests_to_hive function.

Anyway, I plan on dropping balances from hafsql and depending on balance tracker. I can probably recreate the same view you are using so shouldn't be any big breaking changes. I should probably create more views and take advantage of other HAF apps/tables including the two mentioned tables.

Nice info we are getting closer... if this better I could start using this part of the tables.

Only now i'm missing the delegated do you know why that is not part of the VESTS balance?

WITH nai_map (nai, asset_name) AS (
  VALUES
    (21, 'HIVE'),
    (13, 'HBD'),
    (37, 'VESTS')
)
SELECT
    a.name AS account_name,
    x.updated_at,
    x.source_op,
    x.source_op_block,
    -- nm.asset_name,
    -- x.balance,
/* Convert to HIVE only when the asset is VESTS */
    CASE
      WHEN nm.asset_name = 'VESTS'
        THEN hafsql.vests_to_hive(x.balance/1e6, a.block_num)
      ELSE x.balance/1e3
    END AS balance,
    /* The unit of balance_value */
    CASE
WHEN nm.asset_name = 'VESTS' THEN 'HP'
      ELSE nm.asset_name
    END AS asset,
    s.balance AS saving
FROM hafbe_bal.balance_history_by_month x
JOIN hafd.accounts a
  ON x.account = a.id
LEFT JOIN hafbe_bal.saving_history_by_month s
  ON s.account = x.account
 AND s.updated_at = x.updated_at
 AND s.nai = x.nai
LEFT JOIN nai_map nm
  ON x.nai = nm.nai
WHERE a.name = 'beaker007'
ORDER BY x.updated_at DESC;

There is no historical tracking of delegations. There are only current values available.

Oke clear. you cannot have everything 😁 some limitation over performance that is the question.

@azricon, how important do think it is to include the delegations?

I can take a look later to see if I can come up with a query that tracks historical delegations and make that a materialized view which can refresh once an hour or so depending on the query.

Do not what to spam you 😂. But i found a another method to limit the call that i will commit for now

This does the first last record and every first of the month, exactly what is want

WITH bh AS (
  SELECT
    bh.*,
    hb.timestamp AS block_timestamp,
    date_trunc('month', hb.timestamp) AS month_start,
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER (
      PARTITION BY bh.account_name
      ORDER BY bh.block_num ASC
    ) AS rn_first,
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER (
      PARTITION BY bh.account_name
      ORDER BY bh.block_num DESC
    ) AS rn_last,
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER (
      PARTITION BY bh.account_name, date_trunc('month', hb.timestamp)
ORDER BY hb.timestamp ASC, bh.block_num ASC
    ) AS rn_month
  FROM hafsql.balances_history bh
  JOIN hafsql.haf_blocks hb
    ON hb.block_num = bh.block_num
  WHERE bh.account_name IN ({placeholders})
)
SELECT
  *
FROM bh
WHERE rn_first = 1
   OR rn_last = 1
   OR rn_month = 1
ORDER BY account_name, block_num DESC;

limited the number of account at once to 5

Thanks again for the help 🙏

You are not spamming. This one takes too long for top witnesses.

BTW: what i also can do easily is limit the request one account at the time

There is a limit on how many concurrent connections you can have per IP. Currently it is set to 6. So it's not a problem on the database side but your will get errors so you should probably setup a pool on the client side and run queries on the pool.
