BORN AGAIN RULESET BATTLE STRATEGY

Hello Splintermates and Fellow Hiveans,

Todays week : Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Tutorials and Tips from the Community i am going to share a battle strategy in a born again ruleset that i learn a long time ago to @infidel1258 using divine shield in a born again ruleset.

THE BATTLE

This 36 mana battle is against a very strong opponent who usually owned a gold cards in gold league . This battle has 3 ruleset; born again, might makes right and equal opportunity where i take advantage of using eternal tofu as my archon to benifit from its thors and added divine shield and corrossive ward ability which i think mostly contributes to my win.

1. ETERNAL TOFU - is a rebellion card dual earth and life legendary archon. It is a 7 mana card. It provides 2 health, snare and thorns to all friendly units at the start of the battle. It also gives added two type of tactics , first option is to give divine shield and corrosive ward to 3 units and second option is to give triage and sccavenger to 1 unit. Eternal tofu is good at up close and personal, earthquake , melee mayhem, super sneak, equal opportunity and amplify ruleset. But bad at keep your distance, wands out, going the distance and briar patch ruleset. In this battle i am gonna use the divine shield and corrosive ward.

2. WARBORN CHIEFTAIN - is a 7 mana earth legendary rebellion soulbound reward card. At level 2 it has 4 melee attack, 0 armor, 7 health and 3 speed. It also has phase ability (Magic attacks have the same chance to miss as physical attacks.), dispel ability (Removes magic buffs after a successful attack.) and shield ability (50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.) . Warlord Chieftain is good in melee ruleset due to its shield ability

3. SKYSPIRE LEOPARD - is a 5 mana life rare rebellion soulbound reward card. At level 6 it has 3 melee attack, 4 armor, 6 health and 2 speed. It also has 2 abilities; retaliate (50% chance to counterattack successful melee attacks, even if defeated.) and void armor ability (Magic damage hits armor before health.). Skyspire leopard is a good tank at 40 mana and below specially with its void armor ability that make his life longer. When paired with divine shield specially in born again ruleset it provide double protection.

4. HALFLING REFUGEE - - Halfling refugee is a neutral epic rebellion soulbound reward card. It has become my most used low mana tank because of its 1 mana cost. At level 5 it has 4 melee attack, 8 health and 3 speed . It also has weary ability (at the beginning of round 1, weary unit have 10% chance to become exhausted. This chance increase by 10% every round) and heal ability (each round restore 1/3 of maxed health (rounded down)). This is very good in little league, back to basic's , poison, noxious fumes, melee mayhem ruleset and super sneak ruleset. I mostly used him as tank in a low mana battle or as a filler.

5. HALARAN HUNTRESS - is a 4 mana earth common rebellion soulbound reward card. At level 8 it has 3 melee attack, 6 health and 4 speed. It also has flying ability (+25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake), charge ability ( can use melee attacks from any position) and snare ability (100% chance to to hit and apply snared to targets with flying. Snared units lose all bonuses from flying). One of my most used 4 mana card due to its charge ability that can attack at any position.

6. THANALORIAN BLADE - is a 6 mana earth epic rebellion soulbound reward card. At level 5 it has a 3 melee attack, 1 armor, 6 health and 3 speed. It also has 3 abilities; opportunity ( targets the enemy unit with the least health), execute (if the target has 2 or less health after a successful attack, perform another attack against the same unit) and lookout ability (Adjacent units take 1 less damage from attackers with Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity. Reduces damage from all enemy Ambush attacks by 50% (rounded down).

7. BUTTERCUP MAULER - is a 5 mana common earth that is part of the conclave arcana set . At level 3 it has 3 melee attack, 4 health and 2 speed. It has also sneak ability (targets the enemy unit in the last position) and deflect ability ( 0 damage from Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire, and Blast splash damage.) It is good to use in melee ruleset specially against eternal tofu due to its deflect ability.

In this 36 mana battle with born again, might makes right and equal oppurtunity ruleset my strategy is to use eternal tofu as my archon to benefit from its added divine shield and corroassive ward ability specially with the born again ruleset. In this battle positioning is not important due to equal opportunity ruleset. I plan to use mostly melee monster not expecting my opponent use eternal tofu as his archon. The might makes right ruleset limit my monster selection as it only allows monster with 3 or more ranged, melee or magic attack although i intend to use monster with those with armor and and void armor ability to benefit from born again ruleset, that makes their life longer as compared to those monster with no armor or void armor. When paired with divine shield it even make their life more longer and with added more protection.

My learning (TIPS) is that in born again ruleset first is to maximize all those mana provided - as much as possible fill all the slot (if 6 slot - fill all those 6 slots), then 2nd use archon which provide divine shield ( lorna shine (wild) or eternal tofu (modern)) then 3rd is to choose monster with void armor or with armor to benifit from the double protection. So when your monster was killed and resurrect and has a void armor, your monster still got a divine shield , 100 % armor and 1 health that make its life longer and a better chance in winning the battle.
