Natural Harmonics

This first recording is the result of hearing about 432Hz tuning for music and the debate around it, I decided to look a little deeper and find more out about the truth of it all. in my searching I came across this webpage

Roel's world is a good blog site, with clear thinking behind Roel's research. This led me to Maria Renold's Research, and her collection of scientific data regarding the subject. I had heard from orchestra players in the Cello and violin section that there is a conversation that occurs in the orchestra about the fretless instruments favouring the perfect fifth over the piano equal temperament fifth.
I found out more about Maria Renold, who studied violin and viola, being good enough to tour with the Bush Chamber Orchestra and the Bush String Quartet. She had questions concerning correct concert pitch. Knowing Rudolf Steiner had proposed a concert pitch of c = 128 Hz , she began to experiment with the idea in America and Europe over years. Maria then found a new method of tuning the piano, closer to the tuning of stringed instruments, arriving at the concert pitch of a4=432 Hz. Her subsequent book Intervals, Scales, Tones and the concert Pitch C=128Hz was published in German in 1985, her book has become a modern classic of musical research.

I bought the book to continue my own research, I was enthralled. On my birthday I tuned every instrument in my house, including the piano! to A4=432Hz tuning based on Maria's scale of fifths . Ironically this added extra stress and laughter when friends with instruments retuned to join in the jam. My mother oblivious to my new obsession came to the party with a gift of of a tuning fork she saw in an antique shop ,256Hz, C in the Maria Renolds scale of fifths.
I learnt that Logic Pro has multiple tuning settings to experiment with , but, I had to drop a scale of fifths tuning file into the correct directory to include it. So my work has a mixture of electronic and acoustic instruments, and explores the world of Henricus Grammateus 1518, Joseph Sauveur 1653–1716 , Chladni 1756–1827 , Rudolf Steiner and Maria Renold.
So here begins a collection of NFT's lighting a torch for a lady who felt compelled to bring out her enlightened sense of being and light up those around her
