Splinterlands Conclave Arcana Reward cards - New abilities

na.png

Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. The Conclave Arcana reward cards have arrived in Splinterlands and are available in the glint shop. They are definitely very useful in the battlefield and will change the meta, many players are already use them . Of all these new cards, some have new abilities. Let's see if they are great or just meh.

INVIGORATE

ability_invigorate.png Allied units cannot be exahusted. This is great for units with the Weary debilitation, which can become exahusted at the beginning of each round. Now they won't have to worry as long as units with the invigorate ability are their allies.

There are two units with this ability:

The epic water unit, Wailsworn Specter, of the undead bloodline. She has 3 magic attack power, 4 health and 2 speed at max level. She also has the Bloodline Tribute (when defeated, its undead allies will receive +1 magic attack power and +1 to all stats), the Amplify (increases damage of retaliate, corrosive ward, magic reflect, return fire and thorns abilities for allied units by 1) and the Weaken (reduce the health of enemy units by 1) abilities.

And there is also a legendary death unit, Savaketh, of the tideborn bloodline. It has 4 magic attack power, 10 health, 3 armor and 3 speed at max level. In addition to the invigorate ability, it also has the Redemption ability (when defeated, deals 1 physical damage to all enemy units), starting at level 2.

Units than benefit from the Invigorate ability:

PINPOINT

ability_pinpoint.png Allied sneak units cannot miss their attacks, which is perfect for taking out last position units first. These units will be most useful when the Super Sneak modifier is active, which grants all melee units the sneak ability, so while they are in the backline they will attack the last enemy unit.

There are two units with this ability:

The common fire unit, Magmaforged, of the elemental bloodline. It is a 3 mana unit that has 2 ranged attack power, 6 health and 7 speed at max level. It also has the Return Fire (returns 50% of the damage dealt by ranged attackers) and Backfire (the enemy attacker takes 2 physical damage if their attack against this unit fails) abilities.

And there is also a legendary unit that has the Pinpoint ability, Nessa, of the avian bloodline. It has 4 magic attack power, 7 health and 4 speed at max level. It also has the flying ability, the true strike (its attacks cannot miss), execute (if the enemy target has 2 or less health after a succesful attack, Nessa will perform another attack to try to eliminate it), and the ralentless strike (attacks deal true damage, +1 damage if the target has shield, void or deflection) abilities.

Units than benefit from the Pinpoint ability:

REFLEXES

ability_reflexes.png When a unit with this ability is successfully attacked for the first time, all subsequent attacks by the attacking unit against the unit with this ability will miss for the rest of the round.

Units with true strike are no exception to the effect of this ability. These units are great against units with the armored strike ability, as they attack twice per round (first with their armor and then with their power attack, the latter will miss). This ability is also excellent against units with multiple attacks.

There is only one unit with this ability:

The legendary earth unit, Skrag the Gnaw, of the gnome bloodline. It has 4 melee attack power, 8 health, 5 armor and 3 speed at max level. And when defeated by an enemy unit, it will apply poisoned to the attacker and has a 50% chance to also apply poisoned to units adjacent to the attacker thanks to his Poison Burst ability. It also has the Rebirth ability, so it will return to battle after being defeated (with 1 health, but all its armor), meaning its poison burst ability can be activated again.

Additionally, it has the Cripple (each successfully attack this unit makes reduces the max health of the target by 1) and Thorns (melee units attacking this unit will receive 2 physical damage) abilities.

Units that don't work well against Reflexes:

What is the new ability you like the most? For me it's the Pinpoint ability, as I like to play aggresive. I can already see how Night Stalker and other sneak units will take advantage of this and destroy the last positiond units without problem. This strategy will likely be used more in low mana battles and when the Little League modifier is active, allowing only units with 4 or less mana units to be summoned.

Have a great time getting the new cards. They are definitely cool and very useful. That's all for now, see you on the battlefield!
