Entering my First Conflict in Splinterlands - Opening 24 CA standard packs: Black foil?
Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. I haven't participated in any Splinterlands conflicts, but there is always a first time. This is the fourth conflict of Conclave Arcana, and will be the first of the conflicts to grant a legendary archon.
Loving the Moo is the first archon that can summon units from different bloodlines: Elemental and Canisan, and all of them will gain the poison ability. Additionaly, you can also grant the Blast and Magic Reflect abilities to two units.
I think it's too good, and it's quite exciting how it will change the meta, so that's why I finally decided to enter conflicts.
To enter the conflict, I first need a Wagon, which is why I didn't participated before. I didn't have one, so I could buy one at the market for around $5, or get one free after spending 100,000 DEC on any CA pack. I had only purchased one CA standard pack in the presale, so I would have to spent an additional 96,000 DEC. I decided to buy 24 Standard packs, which cost exactly 96k DEC.
Now I have the wagon ready to stake 5 cards of the modern format (ca and rebellion). With 24 CA packs, it's very likely to get at least one legendary, so I opened 12 packs first. Of course, not before buying midnight potions to increase my chances of getting a black foil. I opened my packs one by one, why? for more pleasure :P
I couldn't believe I was so unlucky in my first 12 packs. I only got 1 gold unit, and it was common. And only two epic units. But I had already decided to open all my packs, so I continued.

When I opened the packs one by one again, because I like it that way, and only see regular foils, I was a little dissapointed, but I still believed that I could get not only a gold legendary foil but also a black legendary foil.

In my 19th pack, the card was shaking. I was expecting a legendary gold foil unit. It wasn't legendary but it was a beautiful Black foil unit. The other packs weren't as interesting, I also got an epic gold card, but it doesn't compare at all to a black foil.

This is my first Black foil card that I get from opening a Conclave Arcana pack. It is a common unit, but it's definitely a good one, as it has the shield ward, poison and impede abilities. I will definitely use it a many times in my battles. Maybe I will sell it, but for now I will stake it in my wagon.
Always remember when opening packs: you must believe!
Now my wagon is full with my top 5 Conclave Arcana cards. 25k power thanks to Virid Venomancer. And a little more power from my gold cards.
The event last 30 days, and at the end I will have 221 chances to get the legendary Loving the Moo. Each chance has a 0.0833% success rate. With 1200 chances I can get one guaranteed, but I would a lot more power. Anyway, the event has just started, and I want to open more packs, but I will do that when I feel like I can get another black foil. Maybe it will be in a few hours, or tomorrow, or in a couple of days, maybe for the next conflict or maybe never :P . But I'm sure I will open more.
