YouTube to embrace NFTs to help creators make more money

It’s no news that web3 is currently taking over in the internet world and everybody has had their different opinions about it.

Now the trending one currently on is the CEO of YouTube considering the Web3 technologies and not only that, in order for creators to make more money like she said she is also considering NFTs too.

She went on in saying that the development and innovations going on around the web3 is a source of inspiration for her and her team to continue innovating YouTube too but they are still yet the project and no plans made yet.

Wojcicki went further in saying that the company is working on some major updates and the updates tends to bring innovations and also support the work of creators as well as also protecting the YouTube community, that all these are key priorities.

In the statement disclosed Wojcicki said “The past year in the world of crypto, nonfungible tokens (NFTs), and even decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) has highlighted a previously unimaginable opportunity to grow the connection between creators and their fans.
“We’re always focused on expanding the YouTube ecosystem to help creators capitalize on emerging technologies, including things like NFTs, while continuing to strengthen and enhance the experiences creators and fans have on YouTube.”

The trick to all this, is that YouTube is making this statement after Instagram has said it too was exploring NFTs and also Facebook may also be building an NFT marketplace and its coming very soon.

Also Twitter has also launched a feature that can allow support for NFT as profile pictures.
