Before we talk about receiving, let’s talk about giving because there can’t be a receiver without a giver, and a giver is someone who goes out of their way to help and support another person without having any intention behind or expecting anything in return because it’s something you do out of basic instincts and willingness of the heart. And for every giver, there must be someone at the receiving end to accept those help, support and whatever is being passed.

Receiving as we all know, is the act of accepting something from someone; it could be gifts, compliments, help, or even gratitude that is being passed by a giver because giving and receiving are like a circle or a wheel, they both balance each other. The art of receiving helps us understand that what we are gaining can make us better or be beneficial to us and also we can also reciprocate the art of giving to also make others benefit from what we have received and the circle is what makes the art of receiving beautiful.

Some people have refused to accept help or support that is put out to them because of their pride or because they never practiced the art of giving and now that they are in trouble or need help practicing the art of receiving becomes difficult for them.

The greatest gifts have received
There are two greatest gifts have received from two people and they went out of their way to make sure I received them properly to make me a better person and those gifts haven’t left me one bit because I’m still using them till now to become a better man and also help those around me by passing it out to other people to also become a better person and the circle goes on.

One of the greatest gifts have received is the gift of education and knowledge and thanks to my dad. Growing up in a home where they were little or no money, my dad still made sure that I had the best education and treated me like he knows that I am the way out to make sure my family have a better life and that’s why he never held back in putting me in good schools, learning from people that can shape me to be the better person that I am today and for that, I am entirely grateful and I know he’s proud of me wherever he is because I haven’t failed him and will never fail him.

The second one that stood out despite all the countless gifts have received is love, care, attention, and every other thing, this particular that I am grateful for is the gift of hive thanks to @readthisplease and @onwugbenuvictor I know they don’t know it yet but I guess they will find out here. We have been close since school days and for about 6/7 years and they are people who don’t hide their intentions by helping people whenever they can and the greatest gift of them which they might not know is their art of giving and that giving is passing knowledge.

Since they introduced me to hive, to them it might just be them helping me make content by being creative and making money but to me, they passed an unending knowledge because have gained a lot of knowledge from Hive, it has made me a better reader, writer and communicator to those around me and the Hive community. So I’m grateful to @reathisplease @onwugbenuvictor (I don’t know if I should use their real name but one has his already there LOL) but they are more than a friend but true friends and brothers.

And the knowledge he has passed to me, I have also had the opportunity to also help others by passing out the knowledge too by introducing people to hive, educating them about the benefits and its impact. Also, I have been able to help myself and those around me with the money I earn from hive to take care of bills and other basic things. So a very big thank you to them, and this is me giving them my thanks and hope they receive it.
