Has The NFT World Been Fully Compromised?

The question of whether the NFT world has been compromised is an understatement because from the look of the activities going on around it's now safe to say nowhere is safe for NFT holders, not the marketplace and definitely not social media. Security is now becoming the top priority above anything else in the crypto and NFT spaces and it's needed now more than ever because of the rate at which scammers are moving no one will be willing to buy or store crypto and NFTs.

Earlier today I wrote about how scammers are now developing fake apps to steal crypto also last week the case of the British Army's social media handle was hacked and fake and fraudulent activities were carried and of course, they must have been victims of that act so which means anyone and anything can be hacked. Talking about anyone and anything can be hacked, there has been another victim of social media handle being hacked and it’s a popular influencer called Zeneca.

When this happened, he immediately tweeted from another account saying: Hey all, this is Zeneca. I'm really sorry for what happened/is happening in relation to my Twitter account being compromised. I have very little idea of how it happened. I had 2FA on using Google Authenticator, and my physical device(s) haven't left my sight all night.

When his followers of the popular social media influencer noticed that a tweet has been made from his account saying there will be a Zen Academy Founder's Pass and it was limited to just 333, suddenly a trend started on Twitter saying DO NOT MINT because there was a link directing his followers to click and mint the NFT pass.

With these fraudulent activities going on now, it’s clear that anyone can be hacked especially the high-profile ones that they can suspect to have a great influence on the NFT or crypto world. According to BAYC, they had previously warned that the NFT community is under attack and everyone should be vigilant. This current attack, just shows that they were right.

The question now is who will be next and when?
