A mini game for the Splinterlands community

MINI GAME

I decided to create a mini game for the Splinterlands community. Though it is still a rough edit. Hoping that I can improve the details of it next time. Right now, I just tried on executing my idea if it is possible to create in MS Powerpoint. Why did I choose to kind of concept? Well it was a social media challenge and I thought that this kind of game can attract engagement with the Splinterlands community in the X platform where I will share this post.

About the game, a very familiar card game to us. Where you will be given three cards and shuffled many times. Your goal is to choose the right card. For this one, you have to find where is NIMBLEDOOK EXPLORER.

The animation speed might be in the easy level, I guess I can increase the speed next time for extra challenge or difficulty. Probably, I can also increase the shuffle time to strain your eyes hahah just kidding.

Well, let see I am also thinking of improving the design of it. Hoping that my imagination will work and also my motivation.

Here is a little sneak peak on how I created this animation of game cards in MS Powerpoint.

I inserted the cards that will be used for the animation. We have the main card, Nimbledook Explorer, Broken Earth Thug, and Ujurak Brave

Next, I created the cover of the cards. I used a rectangle shape and adjusted the size of it in the format tab. For its design, I inserted the Splinterlands logo.

I tested it with the cards if it fits perfectly. To avoid it from looking too flat. I added shape effects in the rectangle which is the bevel option. If you will notice, there is a frame on the corners of the rectangle.

Once I was done with the rectangle cover, I duplicated it and cover the three cards.

I duplicated the main page, to let the viewers have enough time to read and see where nimbledook explorer is.

Then I duplicated the slide with the cards covered. Adjusted their places to move them. I have also added an entrance animation to show that the cards will be covered. I'm still learning and trying if I can make a rotating effect just like flipping a card. Which reveals it backs design

I also left a copy of the cards below. This will be my guide everytime I move the cards. I know where to place it in their original position.

This is how I move the cards per frame. I also adjusted the timer on moving on the next slides. It will be automatically change slide after 00:00:01 seconds. Then the duration per frame is 00:50 seconds. This timer will be the factor for the difficulty of the game. Less time means faster animation. I wonder if we will be able to track it in the difficult mode. For the transition of the whole animation, I used the Morph option.

It was a fun experience creating this mini game and I hope the Splinterlands community will like it and enjoy playing. Just a mini ice breaker for the community.

Aside from improving the design of this mini game animation. I am also thinking of a new animation about Splinterlands for the next Social Media Challenge.

If you like to try the Splinterlands game you can check it right here: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=atlantiss
You can also try the campaign mode to get a glimpse about the game. It consists of several chapters and each one consists of different tutorials and topics. It is fun and interactive also, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it.

THANK YOU
