what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? I want to share my battle using one of my own account that played in Gold League Format.And this time, i want to share that in Manouver ruleset that make the all the monster will have reach ability. Thats why we need to placing the beast in second position to optimize the strengh of our team. But, watch out!! Sometimes player that smart understand that strategy and placing monster that having forcefield ability to make all the attack that above 4 attack will be reduced to be just 1. And it will make disadvantage to our team. Thats why, sometimes we need to think out to the box using another plan to make our strategy work. Lets break the ruleset below

Okay since you guys know that the ruleset is Lost Magic lets knowing this ruleset a little bit deeper.This ruleset description is

Units with melee attacks gain Reach.
Armored Strike is a melee attack.
Sneak and opportunity override reach.

So, the best strategy in this ruleset is using any strong and beast melee monster in second position. The reach can make the melee monster in second position can still doing attack to frontline. But as i mentioned before we need to watch out the monster that having forcefield ability. That will make any attack above 4 will be reduced to be just 1. That make beast strategy will useless.

Strategy Phase

In this battle i am using beast strategy that placing beast monster in second position. But, also i am combined with strategy using gladius edition card since the ruleset is supporting and i am using another method that can make both gladius and the beast work together.

I am using Jared Scar as beast in my team. So of course i am using life element. But, in this battle i am combined with Dragon element. So i can have some option to arrange the good combination of my strategy. This monster is really beast with having 7 melee attack and having bloodlust ability that can buff this monster after killing any opponent monster. And this monster will never miss due the True Strike ability. Also having Piercing ability that can still gives damage if the total attack is above the opponent armor. But, this monster weakness is forcefield ability like Arkemis Bear. Also if my frontline tanker is not good enough this monster will be defeated first before can kill anybody.

For the other carry on my team, i am using Ajax Lightfoot. This monster having pretty good total range attack with 4 damage. But, in this battle my level is not maximum so the maximum attack just 3 and the speed is just 6. Even though with that status, this monster still a beast with speed like that. Especially when this monster can avoid opponent that having forcefield ability. With 3 damage, it can counting as high damage. And when this monster can kill opponent monster, this monster get buff due the bloodlust ability. Also if my team was scattered, this monster can be a good defender with high speed combine with dodge ability. It will make opponent having chance to missing attacking this monster.

For the support i am choosing Djinn Renova. I am picking up this monster because this monster having pretty good magic attack status which is 4 that the highest attack if opponent bringing any forcefield ability. Also this monster using magic attack that can give direct hit to opponent if the opponent did not any void armor ability. With Strengthen ability this monster can support my team mates with adding 1 health and if the opponent using any scattershot ability to make my backline fainted first. This monster have triage that can helping the damage comrade.

For the second support monster i am using Naga Assassin. This monster can be a backline support and tanker with high speed which is 6 with additional 1 speed due the swiftness ability. And the swiftness ability will gives all my team mates 1 speed. And if the opponent missing attacking this monster using scattershot ability or sneak ability, the opponent will get damage after missing due the backfire ability. And this monster only cost just 2 manacost which is pretty affordable and really low cost to make my team better.

Battlephase

This time i am encountered with player that from Landstreicher. I know that guild. Sometimes we met at brawl. And i can say that this guild is very strong. Many of the player is really a beast. Hopefully i can win this battle.

And in this battle as you can see the picture above, having 3 ruleset.The first ruleset is Manouvers that means all melee monster will have reach ability. The second ruleset is Counterspell that means all monster will having magic reflect ability. And the last is Are You Not Entertained? that means both players can bring 1 gladius edition in this battle. The manacap that can be used in this batle is just 34 which is pretty average and will be hard to arrange the good strategy in this battle. The element that can be used is Fire, Life, and Dragon Element. And this time i am using Dragon Element combined with Life element. And opponent pick Fire Element this time.

For this battle i really dont know why opponent using Fire element instead life element which is in the manouvers ruleset the best monster at on Life Element. And this time opponent did not using Manouvers ruleset at all. Chimney Wallstop already have reach ability. And the second melee monster is Uraeus that already have sneak ability.Maybe the opponent just utilize the Counterspell ruleset and Are You Not Entertained ruleset only and forgot the Manouvers ruleset. Looking by the strategy, it is like my team is more stronger than opponent. But, the additional speed from Jacek can make the battle different since the RNG can go on the opponent side. Especially when opponent faster than my team.Fortunately my team can balancing on opponent speed thats will make our speed tie. And my team still better than opponent team.
Okay the summary of the battle is my Jared Scar just get one bloodlust after defeating opponent The Forgotten One. And my Jared wounded badly by the Retaliate effect from The Forgotten One. And my Ajax Lightfood also get buff after defeeating opponent Uraes. And whats better is my Jared Scar got bloodlust again after defeated opponent Chimney Wallstop. And after the two strongest opponent line up defeated. It will very easy to defeat the rest especially the melee just leaving with Uraeus only. And the rest is just range monster. Thanks to my Djinn Renova that support my Jared Scar after get retaliate effect that can make my Jared Scar will get stronger each round. I think it is an easy battle. I dont know maybe the opponent in rush or in the middle of something that make bad decision and arrangement in this battle.

Conclution

I am not commenting why i am got easy win, but i want to share the strategy that usually using beast monster in second position. In this battle i am using Jared Scar as the beast on second Position. But, the weakness of this common strategy is yeah Arkemis Bear this monster having forcefield also have halving ability that can cut down opponent frontline melee attack. So, maybe the best strategy to handle opponent that using beast monster in second position is maybe only Arkemis Bear or monster that having shield combined with heal. That will make the frontline longlasting and using some sneak or scattershot ability can be a good idea too.
