Giant Alpine Skink having a nap.

This artwork was inspired by a fight in which my Giant Alpine Skink was matched against a single chaos agent. It ended very poorly for the chaos agent.

I used a mixture of pencil, pencil crayon and Gauche paint.

First there was the sketch, getting the shape and figuring out where things are.

Then I started doing some colour with pencil cryaons. (sorry about my crappy photos.

More colour. I really love the colours I can get with these pencil crayons.

I forgot to take process pics of working on the branchs their napping on. I'm overall happy with it but also... it coudl be better. I hadn't used pencil cryaon in a while and wasn't really sure what I was doing.

I also forgot how long it takes ot cover any decent amount of space with pencil crayon so I decided to switch t up and use goache paint for the background. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
