Hello to all the Holozing community, how are you today. This time I bring you a fan art inspired by the light healer and the fire dragon. My intention was to capture the friendship and bond that both have forged throughout battles and adventures in a scene that marks the beginning of a new feat. I'll show you how I did it.
Hola a toda la comunidad de Holozing, que tal se encuentran en el día de hoy. En esta ocasión les traigo un fan art inspirado en la sanadora de la luz y el dragón de fuego. Mi intención fue capturar la amistad y el vínculo que ambos han forjado a lo largo de batallas y aventuras en una escena que marca el inicio de una nueva hazaña. Enseguida les muestro como lo realicé.
Step by step//Paso a paso
I started this design with the pencil sketch, using different brushes for the line strokes, drawing first the eyes, nose and mouth of the curator, then her head, hair and body with her clothes and accessories.
Comencé este diseño con el boceto a lápiz, utilizando diferentes pinceles para los trazos de las líneas, dibujando primeramente los ojos, la nariz y la boca de la curadora, luego su cabeza, cabello y su cuerpo con su ropa y accesorios.

To continue this stage I wanted to reflect the close bond that both characters present with the position of the curator's hand caressing her partner's face, after that, I continued with the rest of the dragon's body and the background, a mountainous landscape that helps to frame the scene.
Para continuar esta etapa quise reflejar el estrecho vínculo que presentan ambos personajes con la posición de la mano de la curadora acariciando el rostro de su compañero, después de eso, continué con el resto de cuerpo del dragón y el fondo, un paisaje montañoso que ayuda a enmarcar la escena.

The next step will be to give color starting with the eyes, face and hair of the curator to continue with the rest of her body, clothes and accessories using different shades of gray, beige and gold.
Lo siguiente será dar color comenzando por los ojos, rostro y cabello de la curadora para continuar con el resto de su cuerpo, ropa y accesorios utilizando diferentes tonalidades de gris, beis y dorado.

The dragon is now colored starting with its head, the rest of its body and the landscape using various shades of red, yellow, white, orange and blue.

One of the most important steps is to add shadows and details to the drawing to give more depth and realism, where some parts are darkened and lightened. Starting with the brightness in the eyes, hair and headband of the curator, to continue with her clothing highlighting the details in her armor.

For the fire dragon I worked first on the reflections and illuminated areas on the head, to continue with the rest of his body, taking care of each transition of light and color.
Para el dragón de fuego trabajé primero los reflejos y zonas iluminadas en la cabeza, para continuar con el resto de su cuerpo cuidando cada transición de luz y color.

Finally, I added details to the background and softened the defining lines using a varied set of tools such as soft natural blur, soft airbrush, fountain pen and soft outline giving it a touch of realism and beauty.
Finalmente, añadí detalles al fondo y suavicé las líneas que lo definían utilizando un set de herramientas variado como el borroso suave y natural, el aerógrafo suave, la pluma estilográfica y la de contorno suave dándole un toque de realismo y belleza.

Is this how you usually draw? Just starting off somewhere randomly without sketches?

It'd be nice to know if you truly did all this in an effort to protect the community artists and their efforts.
I understand that the dragon doesn't look too much like the one in Holozing since I based it on contemporary series and movies being one of them Game of Thrones and the link that Daenerys Targaryen had with her dragons, I exchanged the colors of the eyes of the healer and the dragon with the aim of showing this link. Regarding the steps of the creative process I will try to show each of them in more detail in future drawings as I usually omit some of them so that the publication is not so long.
