The Wall - Legionnaire Alvar
Haven't written an SYB post for a while on my other account. Need to get back to it ;)
Legionnaire Alvar
Alvar is a legendary card, and a good one. It took my quite some time to get one, as it was not cheap due to his skills. His main advantage is the amount of shield he has combined with his Void Armor ability. This protects him from all kind of damage. We will get into how to utilize this in the shared fight.
On higher levels he get the Giant Killer, which is a nice ability, but very situational.
On the other hand Demoralize is a healthy upgrade mainly in Melee only fights.
At the end we have a Death Blow ability, which I think can be rarely used, as Alvar is a tank, so it does not stay on the battlefield till the end... But let's imagine his hit, against a Kron, which would be increased by the Giant Killer as well as the Deathblow ability... MAD!

My main strategy was built around Legionnaire Alvar, I utilize his high Shield and "Void Armor". I wanted to be prepared for any type of attack with this card. It basically started with 14 health, which had to be destroyed.
And I have tried to upgrade it's health even more. I used
- Kelya Frendul to add 1 more shield
- Venari Wavesmith who added 2 more shield
That is a total of 16 health which needs to be destroyed. (-1 health from Thaddius Brood)
And to top it all I added the River Hellondale who will resurects Alvar, if he is the first to fall. Not that is an additional 12 health.
My enemy had a good base counter strategy against my heavily magic focused team. As with Bone Golem and Thaddius Brood they neglected almost all of my magic attacks. That was the main reason I put melee and ranged cards on the field as well. The Disintegrator was a good choice as well by my enemy to lower my melee attacks.
I still could hit my enemy, but my punch was halved.

Adding extra shields to alvar is a smart move, plus you pulled of the resurrection, which sometimes doesn’t work.
Yes, definitely there are counters against the resurrection. It is important to have the resurrecting card in a safe space.
In this one Gargoya Devil was the weak point against sneak and opportunity attacks. I like to add this card as it can dodge with Flying as well.
Sniping would have been a bigger issue against the Venari Wavesmith, but there were not many options with an Odd ruleset.
In the Silver ruleset I think this was a safe bet :)

Nice battle lineup !! But, Why didn't you posted this from your main @arkasz account, Why did you choose your alt account to participate on this contest, when you are sharing your main account battle?
