Una estrategia efectiva con el Splinter de Muerte en una batalla con Going the Distance [Es/En]

¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero compartir con ustedes un análisis de mi experiencia utilizando una estrategia con el Splinter de Muerte. La cual considero una excelente opción para aquellas partidas con un límite de maná medio y con la regla “Going the Distance”. Es importante recordar que el tipo de ofensiva a utilizar en nuestras estrategias también dependerá del resto de reglas presentes en la batalla.

En esta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de Brawl de la liga de Plata en el formato Salvaje, enfocando mi análisis en explicar cómo utilicé al Splinter de Muerte, el invocador Astral Entity y a las unidades Venari Marksrat, Gargoya Devil, Ravenhood Warden y Whistling Damon para ser coherente con las reglas de batalla presentes y las habilidades que quería combinar con la finalidad de tomar ventaja en la partida con la estrategia planteada.

Ya que estos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, este es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

Límite de maná igual a 22 puntos, esta cantidad nos permite elegir invocadores con un costo de maná entre 4 y 7 puntos. Sin embargo, es muy importante tener una estrategia bien definida para elegir las unidades adecuadas.

Going the Distance es una regla que sólo permite utilizar unidades con ataque ranged en la batalla, cabe destacar que se incluyen aquellas unidades con 2 tipos de ataques que incluyan ranged. Por otra parte, “Close Range”, es una regla que permite a las unidades tipo ranged atacar desde la primera posición. Mientras que, Holy Protection, es una regla que otorga a todas las unidades la habilidad “Divine Shield”.

Entonces, tomando en cuenta todos estos aspectos, decidí utilizar al Splinter de Muerte, ya que cuenta con unidades que poseen buenas estadísticas, entre ellas, un buen daño ranged. También cuenta con habilidades como: “Martyr”, “Deathblow”, “Protect”, “Piercing”, “Snipe”, “Bloodlust”, entre otras y con un invocador que reduce en 2 puntos la armadura del equipo enemigo, otorga la habilidad “Dodge” al nuestro y ofrece soporte a través de la habilidad “Resurrect”.

Hablemos sobre el equipo y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias, era evidente el uso del tipo de ataque ranged. Es por ello que decidí elegir al invocador Astral Entity, ya que reduce en 2 puntos la armadura del equipo enemigo, otorga la habilidad “Dodge” al nuestro y ofrece soporte a través de la habilidad “Resurrect”.

En esta oportunidad, Venari Marksrat actuó como carnada para incrementar las estadísticas de Gargoya Devil, a través de la habilidad “Martyr”.

Gargoya Devil es el tanque principal de la estrategia, ya que cuenta con las habilidades “Flying” y “Dodge”, lo que le proporciona una evasión de los ataques ranged increíble. Además, también posee “Deathblow” que le permite hacer el doble de daño bajo ciertas circunstancias.

Ravenhood Warden es clave, ya que ofrece soporte al equipo mediante la habilidad “Protect”, lo que les permite aumentar un poco su resistencia contra el daño enemigo.

Whistling Damon se encarga de debilitar a la segunda línea enemiga, la combinación de las habilidades “Snipe”, “Piercing” y “Bloodlust” le permiten tomar una gran ventaja.

Como les mencioné anteriormente, elegir al invocador Astral Entity y a las unidades Venari Marksrat, Gargoya Devil, Ravenhood Warden y Whistling Damon, fue una buena opción. Sin embargo, también es importante incluir habilidades de soporte que le permitan a nuestro tanque y al resto del equipo, resistir lo suficiente.

Observen como para el turno 3 de la ronda 4, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Venari Marksrat cumplió su objetivo, permitiéndole a Gargoya Devil alcanzar un estado en el cual su evasión lo hizo prácticamente intocable. La contribución de Ravenhood Warden y Whistling Damon fue clave para debilitar al enemigo.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de esta estrategia es un equipo enemigo que cuente con resistencia al daño ranged e incluya habilidades como: “Shield”, “Protect”, “Repair”, “Heal”, “Triage”, “Return Fire”, “Headwinds”, entre otras.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que el equipo enemigo no contaba con la resistencia ni el soporte suficiente para resistir los ataques de mi equipo.

Para el funcionamiento adecuado de nuestras estrategias, es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en las estadísticas y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

Let's talk about the team and its strategy. Given the circumstances, it was obvious to use the ranged attack type. That's why I decided to choose the Astral Entity summoner, since it reduces the enemy team's armor by 2 points, grants the “Dodge” ability to our team and offers support through the “Resurrect” ability.

This time, Venari Marksrat acted as bait to increase Gargoya Devil's stats, through the “Martyr” skill.

Gargoya Devil is the main tank of the strategy, as he has the “Flying” and “Dodge” abilities, which gives him an incredible evasion of ranged attacks. In addition, he also has “Deathblow” which allows him to do double damage under certain circumstances.

Ravenhood Warden is key, as he offers support to the team through the “Protect” ability, which allows them to increase their resistance against enemy damage.

Whistling Damon is in charge of weakening the enemy second line, the combination of the “Snipe”, “Piercing” and “Bloodlust” abilities allow him to take a great advantage.

As I mentioned before, choosing the summoner Astral Entity and the units Venari Marksrat, Gargoya Devil, Ravenhood Warden and Whistling Damon was a good choice. However, it is also important to include support abilities that allow our tank and the rest of the team to resist enough.

Notice how by turn 3 of round 4, the enemy team was almost down. Venari Marksrat accomplished his goal, allowing Gargoya Devil to reach a state in which his evasion made him practically untouchable. The contribution of Ravenhood Warden and Whistling Damon was key to weakening the enemy.

The strategy proposed made efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, good offense, and coherence with the present rule set.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy team that has resistance to ranged damage and includes abilities such as: “Shield”, “Protect”, “Repair”, “Heal”, “Triage”, “Return Fire”, “Headwinds”, among others.

The difference between the strategies was that the enemy team did not have enough resistance or support to resist my team's attacks.

For the proper functioning of our strategies, it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we should not only focus on the statistics and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
