Transition from graffiti to painting

Hello everyone, a very beautiful day is beginning. I'm always very happy, even very pleased, to see you again. In the previous article, we concluded that if there were a war between pencil and paint, the ideal, the most advantageous option is to choose painting. Today, we will continue in this direction while showing the advantages and also the resolutions made in the practice of painting.

I present to you some works created by other artists on the heritage wall that have subsequently inspired me.

I finally chose painting. From now on, I will only do painting.

Here are some paintings that I started at the same time to practice.

In the first painting, we see a lamp painted on a black background. This lamp is lit by two hands clasped in a prayer pose. The clasped hands constitute the filament of this light bulb. This painting means that in the dark, even when everything is going wrong, only prayer can illuminate our life, our destiny.

Afterwards, I thought it best to create a portrait for my Japanese language teacher out of gratitude. Here are the steps involved in this work:

During the 𝓔𝓯𝓯𝓮𝓽𝓖𝓻𝓪𝓯𝓯 street art project, a WhatsApp group was set up for volunteers.

Always shy by nature, I read the discussions without interacting. The only thing I did was share photos of the works in the group. Regarding the project, the heritage wall was voted the longest graffiti wall in Africa. This wall was publicized by TV5. At the very end of the seventh edition of the Effetgraff festival, I heard about an art talent competition. This Lydia Ludic Benin Talent competition was launched on April 16, 2021, through the Lydia Ludic organization. It specializes in games and leisure activities.

Having dabbled in painting during the Effetgraff group's street art project and having practiced a bit on canvas, I decided to register for the Lydia Ludic Talent competition.

Curiously and amusingly, I found the envelope on which the number was marked.

I went to Lydia Ludic's game room located in Kouhounou (Cotonou) to register. I was assigned the number 007 on the day of registration. I was very happy, as the number 7 is a symbol I particularly like. The competition's requirements already include having a manager who will represent the artist. The competition will be divided into two parts.
