Limited Card Battle, Little Leage Mage Secrets!
Hello guys!
Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Little League. These rulesets make us only able to battle using monsters with which is below or equal to 4. You could say this is a low mana battle that requires careful strategy.
Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. I played on modern battles on Diamond leagues using my scholarship account with IGN btlzr-wizard-700 , and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league.
Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!
BATTLE PREPARATION
Challenge Rules

RULESET: LITTLE LEAGUE
Description:
Only units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less may be used.
Battle Rulesets
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Going the Distance (Only Monsters with ranged attacks may be used in battles)
- Target Practice (All range and magic attack monsters have the Snipe ablity)
- Little League (Only Monster and Summoner that cost 4 mana or less may be used battles)
- Mana Capacity 60
- Active Element Fire,Earth, Life and Death.
Line Up and Strategy
If you look at the rulesets described above, it is clear that this battle can only use very limited cards. Even to fill empty slots, we may also need a low level card or starter card.
Because the cards are really limited, I will only use makeshift tanks, use buffs and debuffs from mustard and summoner, and focus on the damage possessed by monsters. And yes, you can see the monster lineup of the two teams in the picture below.
I use 3 Fire elements combined with 3 Neutral elements with Summoner Tarsa. While the opponent uses Summoner from Death element, Thaddius Brood with 3 Death monsters and 3 Neutral monsters with Tower Griffin, Xenith Archer, Venari Markstrat, Ravenhood Warden, Weirding Warrior, and the last position is Soul Strangler.
The strategy of the monsters and Summone that I chose in this battle I will explain in the table below.
Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
Tarsa | Summoner | +1 Melee, +1 Health | Although Melee monste cannot be used in this battle, Tarsa provides a buff to increase Heath for all mosters. Of course it is very useful especially since the average monster with mana below 4 only has small Health points. |
Tower Griffin | First | None (Starter Card) | The Griffin Tower I used was a level 1 starter card. I used this monter as a tank in the first position because there were no other proper monsters in the first position who could only receive attacks without retaliating. |
Venari Marksrat | Second | Martyr, Snare | Even though it is in second place, because of the reulesets target practice, this monster will be the target of attack from monsters. I deliberately made this monster the target of the attack to activate the Martyr ability that this monster has. If the Martyr ability is active because this monster dies, then all stats of the monster among this monster will go up. |
Pyrewatch Devil | Third | Life Leech, Dispel | This is a Soulbound reward card that has Life Leech ability, where if the attack from this monster hits the target's Health Points then the Health Points of this monster will increase. The position of this monster is right next to the Martyr monster, so if the Martyr monster dies then the stat of this monster will go up |
Xenith Archer | Fourth | None | Neutral monsters with mana 2 that have 2 damage ranges and also have high Speed and good HP. |
Lava Spider | Fifth | Snare, Poison | Lava Spider which has Poison ability is the main reason I use this monster as an attacker, because if Poison manages to hit the target then each round will begin with the Target losing 2 Health Points. |
Scavo Virebolt | Last | Knock Out | The monster with the biggest damage in my class, I deliberately put it in the last position, with the aim of being a deal damager who can continue to attack, and die last compared to other monsters. |
BATTLEFIELD ARENA
I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.
This battle runs very fast, because the monsters that can be used in these rulesets are very limited. I was able to win this battle with only 5 rounds, and even from the third round it could already be seen that the opponent could not possibly win against my monster. Let's take a look at the round by round of this battle.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
The strategy I applied worked very effectively in this battle. I won this battle easily, even with very limited monsters. Little League does make us have to think hard about the best strategy that can be used.
