Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. It hasn't been long since my first post, Let's Work Together to Achieve Victory! Splinterlands Mage Secrets Rise of the Commons! to participate in the Splinterlands Secrets Mage battle Challenge and this is the second post to enter the challenge.

Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. In this battle, I used another scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700 who played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards whose level was not max. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!

Battle Rulesets

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • Equal Opportunity (All Monsters have the Opportunity ability)
  • Rise of the Commons (Only Rare and Common Monsters may be used in battles)
  • Healed Out (All Healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners)
  • Mana Capacity 25
  • Active Element Fire, Life, Death and Dragon.

Line Up and Strategy

It is quite difficult to win with Rise of the Commons rulesets if you don't have a variety of diverse and complete cards. So I will try to use the double Martyr strategy where Martyr is active due to monsters with Martyr dead, then all stats of all monsters are the same, only the increase of dead monsters receives bad luck / curses.

So the line-up that I put together with the double Martyr strategy is as shown below.

line-up.png

Opponents use Summoner Quix The Devious which provides -1 Range and -1 Speed debuffs. If I only use 5 monsters, the opponent fills all existing slots with monsters. In the first position, there is Pelacor Conjurer which is a non-damage Tank that is very strong to defend against Melee attacks, magic and range. This monster has many chances to avoid enemy attacks. This is because after getting buffs and debuffs, this monster has a speed of 7 equipped with Flying abilities as well as Phase and Reflect Magic.

The second position is Twilight Balisik who has 3 melee damage as well as reach and stun abilities. The third position is Venari Markstrat where this monster will be the target of all monsters because it has the smallest HP among other monsters. This will cause the Martyr ability to activate so that all stats of the monster next to this monster will increase which makes the monster stronger.

In fourth place is Time Mage with Slow and Rust abilities. The fifth position is Supply Runner with Swiftness and Strengthen abilities and in the last position there is Dragon Assassin with Backfire abilities, and Swiftness.

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
TarsaSummoner+1 MeleeTarsa will increase Melee's attacks, and this is great because some of my monsters have Melee attacks.
Xenith MonkFirstVoid, Reflect MagicXenith Monk is in first place as a Tank from both Melee, Magic and Range series. This monster has Void and Reflect Magic for defense from Magic attacks, because the magic attack received will be reduced to 1, and Reflect Magic makes Magic attacks will turn to the attacker. In addition, Xenith Monk also has high speed, so the possibility of avoiding the opponent's attack is also quite good. Although actually this monster also has the ability to Heal, but because the rulesets of Healed Out eat this ability does not work in this battle, this finding is not a big problem.
Venari MarksratSecondMartyr, SnareThe Venari Marksrat in second place has the smallest Heath Points (HP) among other monsters, so this will be the target of the Opportunity monster's attack and will be the first to die. This will activate the Martyr ability, so all stats of the monster next to this monster will increase. It doesn't matter if this monster will die at the beginning of the round, as long as the main attacker can get the best stats.
Tenyii StrikerThirdSneak, Dodge, BackfireTenyi Striker who has Sneak ability, and has high Speed, Great Damage, and for defense also has Dodge and Backfire abilities. Tenyi Striker will be the main attacker in this battle, and I arranged so that the stats of this monster will increase at the expense of 2 Martyr monsters.
FirecallerFourthMartyr, FuryFirecaller is the second monster Matyr in my formation. But the placement of this mustard is behind with the aim that the monster in front of him will not be naughty. In addition, this monster also has a pretty good damage range.
Antoid PlatoonFifthShield, ScavengerThe Antoid Platoon that has Scavenger is in the last position with the aim that this monster becomes a monstr that will survive until the end of the battle because the HP owned will increase if another monster dies. Shield abilities are also great for defending against Melee and Rank attacks.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

Very surprisingly, this battle turned out to be quite long, and many annoying moments happened. I also almost lose if RNG is not with me in the last seconds of this battle. There are so many miss attacks that occur in this battle, and also Stun who always hits the target makes it difficult for me.

round1.png

As usual, the battle begins with buff and debuff parties from all Summoners and Monsters. The opponent really relies on speed and I think the strategy they apply is an aggressive attacking strategy by utilizing speed. I get consecutive attacks from all the opponent's monsters and I can't even retaliate before all the monsters hit my monsters. Not long after the first round started, I immediately lost 2 monsters that died before taking a punch. At the end of the first round, my monsters only had 3 left while the opponent was still have 4 monsters.

round2.png

The second round begins with an attack from the Time Mage to Zenith Monk. Followed by the attack of Supply Runner and Twilight Balisik. Because Tenyii Striker has obtained 2x Martyr, so with speed 4 and damage of 8 in one attack, the Supply Runner immediately dies. The speed of the opponent's monster is manurun 1 because it no longer gets Swiftness from Supply Runner. The speed of my monster also increased after the Time Mage who had the Slow ability died due to an attack from Anatoid Platoon. Now both teams have 3 monsters left.

round3.png

As soon as the third round started, Venari Markstat died from Tenyii Striker's attack. Twilight Balisik got an increase in all stats because of Martyr. Then Twilight Balisik's attack kills Zenith Monk. Both teams have 2 monsters left.

round4.png

Annoying things began to happen in the fourth round, the stun of Twilight Balisik always hit the target, as well as miss attacks that occurred repeatedly.

round6.png

Until the next few rounds, almost all attacks from both my monster and the opponent's monster suffered a miss attack. All the monsters are just like dancing LOL 🤣

round7.png

round8.png

round9.png

Finally, Tenyii Striker died in the ninth round. I only have 1 monster left that is the Antoid Platoon.

round10.png

Finally, Tenyii Striker died in the ninth round. I only have 1 monster left that is the Antoid Platoon.

round15.png

I was finally able to attack Pelacor Conjurer in rounds 13 and 15. Pelacor Conjurer died and now each team has 1 monster left. But I think my luck is very bad because I keep getting Stun.

round17.png

Yeeey Finally Twilight Balisik died in the 17th round, I won in this battle with the battle results as shown below. Well, I got this SPS from 50k SPS staked.
