🍬Hello hello community🍬, I am happy to bring you this new work, if you are new welcome to my blog, where art and glitter merge, today I bring you an illustration with watercolor effect using digital media, watercolors are my alma mater, when I started to discover the art more deeply helped me more and there was a very strong connection between us, but I had not been able to perform the technique in digital illustration until today.

The composition of the illustration is a girl with thick black hair with asian features and full lips in a cherry red, the color palette goes between reds and oranges with pink touches, very romantic, I was inspired by the valentine theme of the 60's, a postcard that I saw on pinterest, in particular I love that aesthetic, but I wanted to give it a more modern twist.

First I made a sketch in base lines, detailed and then I was building layer by layer the watercolor stains, playing with the flow of the brush and its effect of diluting the stroke as if adding more water, I wanted to add a butterfly so I concentrated it in a part of his face as a romantic detail, my grandmother always told me that if the butterflies landed on you was because you were very sweet.

I worked the butterfly in black and orange tones and the make up of the girl was quite natural and subtle accentuating slightly her lips and adding pink tones in her cheeks and eyelids, the secret is to be patient as in traditional with the layers of watercolors because it is the success of the technique, but in the traditional drawing you have to wait for each layer to dry to continue, in the digital aspect this is an advantage, just add an extra layer and you work on it quickly.

For her outfit I used a pink sweater with a cherry red strapless shirt, accompanied by earrings in the same combination of colors in the shape of a heart, slight touch of highlighter and glitter, to finish in a rain of bubbles and the word sweetie in the background because if she is a sweetie, I am very pleased with this work and I consider it is the beginning of a new era.
