One question: regarding the efficiency rate, are you saying you only get a curation reward if you upvote within the first 24 hours of posting? After that you dont get anything? Or am I misunderstanding? Sorry for the novice question, I have visited HIVE for years, since back when it was still STEEM before the fork, but I just returned recently and am not up to date on the rules. Thanks for your time.

Correct. An upvote outside the 24hr window doesn't net the curator any money which is why posts tend to peak within the first 15mins and then start to die out.
Thank you so much for telling me this, you have saved me a great deal of potential confusion! I will still comment on posts that are excellent quality though even if I dont get anything for it just for the sake of good discussion...quality work should be commended even without a reward! But I appreciate you making me aware of this 24 hour rule for the rewards, cheers.
