Hello everyone and welcome to the Battle Weekly Challenge. This week the challenge is with Magi of Chaos, an epic Neutral element card with no abilities at level 1.

In this particular battle we are going to face a level 1 Kelya Frendul summoner. We are going to play on equal terms since we can only use cards at level 1. So let's see the rules, the team and the details of the battle..

Battle Rules

This is a 30 mana battle with the "Heavy Hitters" and "Explosive Weaponry" rules where only Fire, Water and Dragon elements are allowed to play.

My Lineup

Some time ago, Daria Dragonscale nearly lost her twin brother Delwyn to the Burn that had stricken so many of the scaled. She would have lost him completely, but at his deathbed she hired the services of a dark sorcerer who transferred his soul into a special Heliosoulstone. While he was suspended inside the stone, Daria traveled to the Earth Splinter, where she visited the Flesh Golems in the root of the Elder Tree. With their help, she created a new Golem from fleshy scraps. Delwyn’s soul was transferred into the new Golem, and Daria had her brother back… forever.

Delwyn Dragonscale: I really like this summoner as it gives +1 magic attack to all friendly magic attack monsters and the possibility to combine our cards with other Splinters as it is a dragon Summoner.

Kelp Initiate: In the first position I decided to use Kelp Initiate. This card has no abilities al level 1 but for only 2 mana it has 5 Speed and 5 HP, which makes it a very strong tank in low mana battles. We can take advantage of its low mana to use stronger monsters in the back line.

Djinn Oshannus: Djinn Oshannus is an amazing magic attack card that can be used as a second tank due to its high Speed and high HP.

Creeping Ooze: Ooze is one of those cards that fits very well into almost any composition. I find it especially good in low mana games thanks to its "Slow" ability, which reduces the attack speed of all enemy monsters allowing our monsters to attack first and have less chance to miss.

Magi of Chaos: The protagonist of this weekly challenge! This is an amazing magic attack card with a nice combination of magic and HP. In combination with our summoner he will have +1 additional magic attack, so he will do 3 magic damage each round. I put him in the middle position to avoid enemy monsters with the Snipe and Sneak abilities.

Venari Wavesmith: This card gives +2 armor to all friendly monsters. I think it’s very useful since many of our monsters have no armor. Armor will allow us to resist more attacks from enemy monsters with melee and ranged attacks.

Ice Pixie Card with very low mana cost that positioned in the right place can do a lot of damage as well as avoid it due to its Flying ability and high Speed.

Did your strategy work?

Yes, I think my strategy worked quite well. We managed to surprise our opponent with our team and win the battle. So I am happy with the result and the strategy I used.

Do you like Magi of Chaos?

Yes! I like Magi of Chaos. Personally it is a card that I use a lot. Does magic damage is very important to avoid opponent's heavily armored monsters. Monsters with magic attack may do damage from any row, since this form of attack ignores the defender’s Armor STAT (damage is applied directly to health). Unless there is a monster with Phase on the enemy's team, magic attack will always hit. There is no miss chance.

One of the things I like most about this card is that it is Neutral. Being a Neutral card allows us to use it with different summoners and strategies, which is very powerful. I like to use this card with a summoner that increases magic damage by +1 such as Delwyn Dragonscale, Alric Stormbringer or Obsidian.
