Ok so, I have known about splinterland since steemit days, about 4years ago when I was actively involved on steemit.

But I didn't really play the game because I didn't have a PC and there wasn't really funds to invest and buy the cards to enable me play.

Few days ago, I visited a friend and I saw him playing the game, I was like oh wow, you play splinterland?? And he responded affirmative, I was really surprised.

I asked him to guide me through the process to take in registering an account, he told me to first use keychain to login on the splinterlands website, I did and I really loved the interface, heres the Link to my account, you can register and play to earn too.

After signing in, I was then told I would have to buy SPELLBOOK Before I would be able to play the game, I checked the price for the SPELLBOOK and i saw $10.

I really didn't have $10, I went to binance and bought some usdt with the fiat I have left in my bank account, I was able to buy roughly above $7, i converted the usdt to hive and withdrew to my hive wallet.

On the hive internal market, I converted the hive to HBD, borrowed additional 3HBD from a friend and i proceeded to buying the SPELLBOOK. I was really happy after the purchase, I was like atlast, I finally have a splinterlands account and I can now play the ever amazing game.

After buying the SPELLBOOK, my friend told me before I can play, I'd have to have some cards that I will use to battle my opponents, I asked him how to do that since I didn't have enough money to invest still, he told me I could borrow cards, i was really happy.

I went to my hive-engine wallet, converted some of the tokens I have there into hive, then I used the hive to buy DEC token, after buying i sent the dec token to my splinterlands account.

After having the dec token in my splinterlands account, I proceeded to PeakMonster website where I linked my account and then borrowed some cards. The process was really seamless and I wish I had more funds to be able to borrow some other card that'd aid me in wining some battles.

After my account was ready and I could battle, I was very excited that I almost couldn't wait to play my first game.

MY FIRST BATTLE

Playing my first battle was easy, below is screenshot of some the battles i first played and won.

Going further, the gameplay was fantastic and i dint want to stop playing, but there was a particular match that i enjoyed so much, i used 3 Monster and a Summoner in the particular match and i still managed to win the match against my opponent.

Summoner : KELYA FRENDUL

Monsters : MERDAALI GUARDIAN, DEEPLURKER, PIRATE OF EIGHT

These 3 monsters gave me the win i anticipated, below are their abilities:

MERDAALI GUARDIAN : this is a tank heal monster that tends to restore maximum health to the unit in first position, and it does this on each round through the end of the game.

DEEPLURKER : this monster is an opportunity monster, it capitalizes on the enemy weakness by targeting with the lowest health unit and attack from any position during the game.

PIRATE OF EIGHT : this is a double ability monster that is capable of launching a melee attack directly from the second position on the team using its reach ability. it can also launch a blast that tends to do half damage to the unit adjacent the targeted unit.

These 3 monsters and their abilities combined seems a super wonderful one hence securing a win seamlessly, below is a screenshot after i won that particular match. i was very excited for the win.

I think i still need to borrow more cards, stronger cards actually as the game gets harder as i go further in the game.

But i wont give up, i will keep playing till i understand the concept fully and be able to win matches seamlessly.

I look forward to being able to buy the cards in the nearest future and be able to compete in such an amazing gaming world.
