Hello splinter-folk. I hope you all are doing okay.

Today, after so much of struggling with the Sharks in the Bronze league, I finally got myself in the Silver League🎉🍻. The rewards are higher, I feel like. Every chest I get about 0.4 to 0.8 sps and I can fiannly fully utilise the abilities of my monsters to the fullest. But, there are still a few monsters whose all-abilities would come out in Gold leagues.

Battle Conditions

The mana cap is the highest ever, standing at 99 this was the highest for of “get what you want” you could ever have. Moreover, all the summoners were available making this a really tough decision on which summoner to get and what monsters to choose from. I could’ve gone with Water summoners but I don’t have good monster pair ups and Death summoner would’ve been handicapped considering the opposition would definitely use Bloodthirsty monsters. So I chose Life Summoner.

Battle rules:

• Unprotected: Monsters do not have shield or get shield from abilities or summoners buffs.

Battle Details

Let’s start off from my side.

Summoner: Franz Ruffmane(Ability: Additional Shield for all ally monsters).

Tank: Drybone Barbarian(Ability: Enrage).
Melee Attackers: Dumacke Exile(Ability: Sneak).
Blocked Melee Attackers: Shieldbearer(Ability: Taunt).
Magic Attackers: Captain Katie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).
Ranged Attackers: Pelacor Arbalest(Ability: Double strike), War Pegasus(Ability: Flying, Shatter).

My strategy was to delay his from directly attacking my tank. I wanted my Shieldbearer to absorb all the damage while letting the Arbalest do hefty damage as it’s HP is the lowest. I kept my Pegasus as the back since it could dodge enemy melee attackers with the flying ability. I kept Katie in the middle of the deck as I valued her the most, and with her snipe ability there was a higher chance for the bloodlust to trigger and my overall HP, Damage, and speed would increase, and my Dumacke would do a bit of damage from the back of the enemy line. Now for the opposition.

Summoner: Helios Matriarch(Ability: Increased speed for all ally monsters*).
Tank: Unicorn Mustang(Ability: Void).
Magic Attackers: Mycelic Slipspawn(Ability: Taunt), Goblin Psychic(Ability: Tank Heal).
Ranged Attackers: Fungus Flinger(Ability: Martyr), Goblin Tower(Ability: Blast).
Melee Attackers: Keterelba Gobson(Ability: Bloodlust, Double Strike, Sneak).

His strategy was a tad bit similar to mine. He wanted to sway the incoming attacks toward the monster(Slipspawn) behind the tank while healing his tank through the Goblic Psychic. He wanted to open up my deck from the back through the vicious Gobson with bloodlust ability while using his Goblin Tower to damage the monster behind my tank with the blast ability.

Major Events

The game starts with his plan beginning to crumble almost instantly as his tank was on the brink of collapse and the Slipspawn was at half HP.

At the end of the first round, his Slipspawn gets eliminated and my Shieldbearer hangs by a thread.

His tank fell in the first part of the second round but lucky for him his Fungus Flinger was in front of his bloodthirsty monster. That way, his overall damage and HP would increase.

Katie takes out his healer from the middle of his deck and triggers her bloodlust first.

His Gobson gains HP, speed, and damage buff from the martyr effect from the Flinger.

And at the start of the 3rd round, everyone falls.

Results

The match was kinda over when he decided to choose his majority of monsters that had a speed of 1. Moreover, his sole tactic to increase his overall damage through Katerelba was from the back of my deck. I had anticipated that and it missed its attack. Finally, his whole deck had an overall of low HP monsters in the back so it turned into easy pickings for Katie and thus triggered her bloodlust.
